Is it worth getting a PSTV for Vita games at this point? I'm thinking of picking up the PS4 bundle at Best Buy that includes a free PSTV, but I'm a little wary of compatibility and future support from Sony.
If crafting sounds absolutely boring to you, by all means skip it. Unless you really need a cutesy story about a young girl learning to craft to be in your life. The crafting really is the main 'gameplay'... you get quests to find certain materials. You repeatedly go to areas to collect/farm those materials (optionally killing monsters for more in standard jrpg combat). You craft those materials. You then get more fetch quests. More materials. More crafting. You eventually get better grade materials, then re-craft everything you've already crafted using better base materials. Craft. Craft. Craft. With a time limit. A generous time limit, sure, but still annoying and always in the back of your head.
It's really sweet and good for what it is, but it's by no means for everyone. I actually enjoy the crafting, but the time limit kills it for me.
What makes the Vita version [of Jet Set Radio] worse than the console versions?
The Vita version is fine, it's a great port. People were commenting on the game itself, some really hate the controls in Jet Set Radio.
but im betting the price will drop to $10 within months like all tales games.
Would very much like to play the Jak and Daxter games, but the apparent unplayable framerate has me worried.
So Jack and Daxter on PSP is a shit port, right? Horrible frame rate? Thought read that when the game came out
DO NOT, AND I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY THE JAK AND DAXTER TRILOGY ON THE VITA. The port is terrible, it's horrendous, it is a crime against humanity. Not only do all three have horrible performance (sub 25 fps a lot of the time, it is actually the worst in the first one), but they are also glitchy as fuck, especially the platform physics. Think things like the double jump not activating half of the time, not being able to jump off off falling platforms, Jak randomly falling down when grinding on rails, enemy ranged attacks that are invisible for some reason. You will die A LOT purely because of glitches. This is especially problematic in jak 2, where the terrible lack of checkpoints combined with the many death by glitches will want to make you trow your vita against a wall. One of the worst gaming experiences ever in my life. Don't buy it, don't play it, just pretend that it doesn't exist.
I see a lot of people asking how the Jak and Daxter HD vita port is (I guess you mean that instead of the PSP jak and daxter game, because that one is not a port, it is just a very mediocre game), so I will repost this:
How are the controls? I been looking at a few review and that's one of the primary complains.
VLR is not a part of this sale and CEL DAMAGE is $3 instead of 60 cents.
I'm spending the rest of my wallet on Sword Art Online, Deception IV, and New Little King's Story, and one more game. Up in the air on what the last should be, Tales of Hearts R, or the first of the Atelier games. Sell me on them VitaGAF.
man I really want it on the Vita though :/
Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD - any thoughts on this for $5?
Initial release had some bugs but performance got improved with a recent patch so go in for it.Strangers Wrath was a good port for the vita.
I'm confident that they pulled off another good one with Munches.

EVERYONE PLEASE GET ......JET SET RADIO......
Its a great game.
Hopefully Sega releases JSRF in HD soon.
Get Totori Plus. It's the best of the trilogy and cheaper than Hearts R.
You have a lot of game to play with your initial buys. That said Tales of Hearts R I really highly recommend. It has the story of a basic late 90's anime but it is still charming, the battle system is fun. It just felt like a game that was constantly reminding me that JRPGs can be good and not take themselves too seriously. I own so many Atelier games mostly because they are so pretty but have never put proper time into them. They seem to be a love/hate thing.
I do like more actiony games... Atelier just looks like a bunch of menus to be honest.
Then Tales of Hearts R is the one for you.
so how does the buy $100 get $15 back work? is it a code you apply at checkout or are the funds put into your wallet?
Are we sure that the upcoming Deception game (Another Princess) will have all of the content of the one currently on sale (Blood Ties)?
Glad to have your blessing Shiz. Wish it was Demon Gaze on sale instead, my mind would be made up then. XD
They message you with a $15 PSN code that you have to redeem.
Also there's a weird glitch on the web store.
I own Monster Monpiece and even checked my purchases. Yet the web store is letting me buy it again instead of saying purchased.
Yeah. I was just on the Vita store and VLR is $24.99. It was $12.49 yesterday, so I held off on buying until today, thinking I was going to get it for $7.50.
What's the best cheap game to make sure I get to $100?
Let's Fish: Hooked On
Ogarhythm
Sumimoni Demon Arts
Ring Run Circus
Cel Damage
Tiny Troopers Joint Ops
Ben 10 Racing
