Reminds me of watching Crendor reopen all of his packs after the wipe. He got some really good cards, and then I stop and wonder about how much he spent and how many duplicates were in that huge pile of booster packs. I'm honestly not sure how much money I'll want to spend on this.

I got way worse cards as well. Makes me not even want to play, really. The amount of dust required to craft shit vs how much dust is gained for decrafting is just bs. lol 50 bucks down the shit hole. =p Oh well, it was fun for a while.
I'm gonna be a dick and report those. No way some guy is going to get ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY SEVEN DOLLARS WITH NINETEEN BIDS for a beta key....no....way... I'm probably doing him a favour cause PayPal fucked me over on eBay when I sold something digitally and I lost the digital item and the money (I didn't know, live and learn D: )

Yep, I've been quitting after 8. You gain like 30 gold if you just do 9s. 8's I've got 295 a few times. Sometimes you still get extra cards in 8 and get screwed over. I'll have to test more. It is just annoying because I have no use for gold cards. Today I got a gold card + double pack for going 9. So useless, barely got more than 150 gold.

Yeah, I think I'm done too. It's a pretty shitty feeling and I don't feel like putting more money into the game than I already have.
Was fun while it lasted but I now remember why I stopped playing trading card games.

Well if you grind out wins and buy packs, or do incredibly well in Arena for more packs, you will eventually be on par with the crazies who spend 100$+ right on start.

You must've gotten some insane luck with hero/card combos to get there more than once.
I've been really unlucky with my ~7 arena runs so far. (2 wins top)
There's little stuff you can do to help start out like beating all the basic ai, beating all the advanced ai, unlocking all basic cards, etc that'll get you 100g that isn't immediately obvious.
The digital item I sold was bought, and I gave him positive reputation and the item.
Few days later he places a charge back through PayPal and since it's against eBay TOS to sell items digitally, they didn't do shit.
In the end he got his positive reputation and item for free and PayPal took money from my bank account.
Since that day I removed my bank account from PayPal and attached my credit card to be used only in the event I need to buy something (and place any fees PayPal takes from my account on charge back through my CC company.)
On topic, I got another email from "Blizzard." 7 days free game time...these damn phishing attempts...
They nerfed the cards you liked maybe?

Nah, you just have to pick cards and mulligan your hands so you have something to play. I usually lose if I don't have something to play turn 2. You just lose too much control and have a hard time regaining it.
It was a Thrall deck. 1 fire elemental was the only good high casting cost thing I had. Just a bunch of lighting spells to hold off until I could get in a dominate position.
I usually get 8 or 9 wins every other time when I play. Unfortunately with the way gold rewards are, you still end up losing money. The times I don't make gold, I'm usually only winning like 4 times. You get like 30 gold plus the like 200ish gold you get from the higher rewards. It just doesn't cover the 2 games.
Google Hearthstone achievements for ways to get gold. There are lots of easy ways to get gold early on while you are still "bad" at the game. Unless you want to pay for arena with real money, I would stick to trying to get these achievements. You'll get better just playing crappy decks.
maybe! I used a lot of my arena time on trying out Priest, which didn't go great because I'm incredibly unfamiliar with that class. I never really played Rogue or anything like that so I wasn't affected by the nerf bat too badly. I just finished a 6-3 run after going 6-1 and getting my hopes up for a decent finish. Still, 6-3 is on the higher side of my runs, so I'm happy.
I haven't had much problems with my 9 win rewards after the patch. I've started writing down my runs and rewards and I'm getting a good amount of gold. This is my 9 win runs rewards:
9-2 -> 2 packs and 240 gold
9-1 -> 1 pack, 245 gold and a golden rare
9-2 -> 2 packs and 230 gold
I'm not sure how that compares to the gold rewards from 8 wins since I haven't had a 8 win run since the patch.

I think it screws up if you get a card as one of the rewards. It takes one of the gold spots making it very low return.
Ive never subbed to WoW. I got it today but it said expires on September 30th, listed prices in euros and the picture was shrunk. Shady as fuck lol.

I read somewhere that the gold 'pot' is still the same, meaning you get more gold per slot than you would if it was split 4 ways. Speculation though, most of the comparison shots I've seen are pretty inconclusive.

I just got 265 with a card so maybe you are right (plus Gorehowl in the pack). Though I have had multiple times winning at 9 and get like 185 gold + card. I guess it just has a wide randomness for what the gold value will be. Anything under 200 and I'm feeling like I didn't get a good return.

Yeah I went like 1-3 and it was 4xDust + Pack.
Keep in mind too that a pack is essentially 100 gold*, so if you add that to your total, 300~g off a 150g run is pretty good. Assuming you're 'having fun' and enjoying the time spent playing, I think it's a fantastic reward.
* If you ever want to play constructed, which you should, since Arena 24/7 gets stagnant quite fast, and you'd need a standing deck if you wanted to play in tournaments anyway.
It's a Basic card, which means you get it off levelling the Warrior from 1-10. You can't disenchant or craft those.

Yolo rush Warlock deck only got 6 wins. 75 gold. Got a turn 4 kill though the first game, lost the next 2 games. I was worried.
I've been playing since the second week of closed beta, I don't find constructed to be fun. I guess if I had all the cards it would be a different story.

They are more balanced now. Still think priest is the hardest just because of hero power early game and silence wrecks all their tricks basically.
I've done Pally, Mage, Warrior so far.
just keep doing the combo, the animations will play out through the time limit.
edit: it's a bit silly because it becomes a bit dependent on your mouse apm, but you've already been given something like 2 minutes to decide.

I guess Blizzard just has to look up Soulstoner to ban you then since your PSN/360/Steam/Nintendo ID/Gamecentre ID are all the same.
