Is this something you have been told?
I've definitely noticed this.In terms of picking up girls it makes a huge different. Sure I'm not the best looking guy, but I habitually get passed up for taller guys that behave like ogres have the intellectual capability of a basset hound. I would also stake that many of them are uglier, so heightism > lookism in terms of picking up girls, even shorter girls want really tall guys. I think as some sort of weird form of compensation.
Similarly people who wear glasses always get asked by other people try them on.The one benefit to my height was when going to bars at a younger age. I rarely had to break the ice with women. Just stand next to them at the bar and order a drink. It seems like almost everyone had to ask me my height.

No, can't say I have
Growing up in a small rural school until puberty I was the second to shortest person in my class, shorter then all girls, one guy was shorter he probably finished up around 5' 3''. I think at least for him he was so short making fun of him was seen as not worth it or without class. I on the other hand was tormented relentlessly about it and it definitely made an impact on my confidence .

Dude, they're standing right here.Almost every guy in this thread calling them selves short is 5 7. I wonder what happened to all those other guy shorter than 5 7 guys from the other height thread have gone?

I'm 5'5"
I was just thinking this too.
I'm 5'6", though my license says I'm 5'7".
5'6" here. Sucks trying to get a drink at a bar.
I'm 6'4" and even though I'm kind of skinny people feel safe when they are around me.
That's cool I guess. I'm 17yo btw.

Girls like taller dudes, so it kinda sucks being short. Add heels to the equation then the dating pool shrinks even more. Thankfully, there are a shit load of tiny chicks.
That like tall guys.
I see you grew taller yet didn't truly grow up.The only place I like to bring up height is the gym. Bigger, but shorter, guys are great to make fun of. Tell them you can always get bigger, but they can never get taller, and watch them turn red.
+1That like tall guys.

Not saying it's fact or anything, but in my experience shorter girls more often actively seek/prefer tall guys and rule out shorter guys. Even more often than tall girls. I don't know why this is.

I think my country has a real problem with lifeism. Undead Americans are people too, but we just walk all over them. Literally! How would you like it if someone put you in the ground, gave all your stuff to your family members, and got on with life as though you didn't even exist?
Here's a question: Are homosexual relationships free from this prerequisite or discrimination?

On subject, I know that people are inclined to give LostVoyager a lot of crap about these topics he's been making and I dislike the false equivalencies he has drawn between, say, lookism and racism, but I don't think the subject is entirely without merit. I am sort of curious about what it is about height that appears to produce these differences in aggregate.
I assume it is just something about unconscious preferences that people have for taller people, or at least that is part of it, but I don't want to go too far into random speculation.
I'm afraid that's not how it works. You should ask for Stumples' mod powers, though; he's also 5'7".
