Not really. Just a few select people. For the most part, it got lots of love. The only crappy part of it was the amnesia thing. That was silly, but better than the worst part of season 4 (
hyping up Michael's return, only to have him interact with ONE old cast member he knew until the finale where he interacted with two more for two minutes -- then killing him
).

Not really.
Time travel
was a thinly veiled attempt to provide answers about the Dharma initiative, and, outside of the "present" day stuff, which there was far too little of, nothing happened. Nothing.
The bomb doesn't count yet, since I highly doubt there will be any serious repercussions...

But anyways, watched the first 10 minutes of the premiere of Heroes, and the only plot line I liked was Peter's, surprisingly. It actually fit his character. Oh well, hopefully NBC kills this show for good.

Opinion ignored. Really, it's understandable if you watched it through and disliked it but I'm definitely not going to care what you say after only watching 10 mins...

I finally got a chance to watch. Darn local affiliate and its weak OTA power. Anyway, is tattoo guy's power that he can shape ink... or telekinesis? He made the ground close up over the casket in the beginning!

Also, Claire's lesbian life-mate is H-O-T. She also obviously killed the roommate and made it look like a suicide.

I'm not sure if I believe that. Why would she be so eager to find the killer if that was the case?

she probably has a power and is bored. so she kills hoping to find someone smart enough to catch her.

I don't see how learning the past of Dharma counts as nothing, but alrighty. :P

And uh, you can't watch the "first 10 minutes", say you liked 3 minutes of it, then say you hope the show is killed. That's just silly.

So she's like the Riddler, but instead of riddles she had bad Guitar Hero skills?

well she seemed to know alot about how police gauge whether or not someone was pushed or fell. She quickly brushed that comment aside when Claire asked how she knew.

This was pretty bad. Some good parts but they let the claire storyline drag this show down.

Why do the insist on repeating. Why am I seeing yet another person surprised at seeing claires power as she does something stupid.

Fuck its so frustrating. The show has such potential and its like they have no fucking idea where to take it.

With all the time traveling, I think they completely lost sense of time. That song is from Guitar Hero 5, not Guitar Hero 3! What a glaring plothole.

I so hope this happens. Chuck is actually a good show.

Heroes had 6.3 million viewers in the first hour and 5.8 million in the second hour. So half a million people bailed out already after the first episode. I am sure Chuck would do better than that.

Heroes is in one of the most competitive time slots on TV. I love Chuck, but I'm not sure it really could do much better. To go up against House, Dancing and the CBS comedies is absolutely brutal.

I really hope NBC rethinks Chuck's time slot for the spring or when ever it comes back.

Speaking of the Claire incident, it was hilarious that they had the comedy classic chalk outline where the girl fell. Claire must have some serious mental damage from all the previous falls if she thought it would be a good idea to jump out of the window where anyone could see her AND contaminate the potential crime scene with her blood.

I really liked the beginning with the voice over and Heroes-y music, even if it was a blatant rip-off of season 1.

It's not like I only watched 10 minutes of the entire series. I've watched every fucking episode, and if the first 10 minutes couldn't hold my dwindling attention, then why should I waste my precious time watching it? Especially considering the huge downward spiral this series has taken... (and Fuller left)

And, it was actually up to the 1st commercial break, so more like 12 minutes.

Yeah I caught all that, see that's the thing they are being too obvious about it. I think the show is intentionally trying to steer us in that direction and in the end it'll have been someone else all along.

They need to "24 season 5" the show. If this season sucks or is just passable and if it somehow is renewed for season 5, it should open with a complete change of tone.

Have them become... Heroes. No more living in different parts of the world. Get the cast together, the way the Buffy and Angel casts were together under one roof.

They're not fucking heroes. It's nothing but soap opera drama surrounding their abilities. Hell, if the show had the budget, I'd say give them costumes. If Smallville can pull off Green Arrow's costume, Heroes could do something similar. (Of course, maybe not. They can't even pull off fights as well as a CW show.)

It sounds a little silly, but I can't be the only one who had hoped season 1 of Heroes was leading up to them becoming actual super heroes in season 2. Hell, that could be a terrible idea, but at least they would be trying something different and taking somewhat of a chance.

Oh, and when I bring up 24 season 5, I mean the deaths. Kill a few people off: Mohinder, Claire, and Tracy need to go. They have no reason to be there anymore. One of the problems with the show is the lack of danger. It becomes a joke now, putting a character in danger, because you know they're safe. Lost and 24 pull this off very well.

The whole thing felt forced in, and yeah, then they screwed it up anyway. How odd... at least they didn't say Guitar Hero 4.

that wasn't that bad. slow beginning. I enjoyed it when it started going to its flow.
Heroes just have to many characters to care for. they really need to start trimming down.

OMG yes. I still have that episode in the com.
will watch Heroes for Madeline Zima :D , but I'm guessing she's the bad gal and want Claire-bear

The Zima chick isn't hot at all... the fuck. She looks weird. Still if you google her you can see she can look nice, if she tries to.

Anyway, I'm curious as to how the whole "Sylar is still in Nathan but also in Parkman, so there's two of them out there" is going to work out. If Sylar retakes controll of Nathan, is the one in Parkman's head just going to go away?

Praise Jesus, a voice of reason. It's like GAF just likes her because they remember seeing her jubblies in the past. She's gross.

Well fuck me, i actually liked the first episode.
And i agree, Madeline Zima isn't that hot, sure she has some nice erhm assets, but her face is just urgh.

So is Mohinder off the show, or just conveniently not around

I enjoyed the first 2 eps more so than all of last season.

My issue with the show is with the big payoff's that everyone wants to see. How many people here wanted to see Sylar and Peter square off with the lightning, only to see some flashes of light behind a closed door! I mean they teased a fight like that so many times and all they showed were little flashes behind a wall or through a door.

The reason why the big payoffs suffer --and I am sure this is nothing new to anyone who watches the show -- is because of the shows budget. For them to accurately portray a fight scene like that and make it look good would cost way to much money and in turn would take away from the scene. So, they flesh out the scenes where its just Peter jumping high or Claire throwing herself out of a window, and then pushing her ribs back into place.

I mean look at the scene from Monday, with Tracy Strauss and Ray Parks character. That could have been a crazy cool fight, but because of budget restraints, we get a 15sec fight with some decent CG water effects thrown in.

I still am liking the season though, and I am enjoying the fact that there are new baddies involved and its not another lame cheerleader saving, planet destroying plotline again.

On a side note, it was pretty obvious from the scenes they showed from upcoming epsiodes that Zima's character is Obsessed with claire and most likely did push that girl out of the window.

I didn't mind the minimal "big payoffs" from season 1, because the plot and characters were mostly solid.

Season 2 and 3 were all over the damn place. They tried to do some flashier effects, but between the wonder twins in season 2 and whatever the hell happened in 3, that was the least of the show's issues.

To the show's credit, the last few episodes of season 3 were pretty good and had the series back on track...

Now they just need to remove Tracy, Nathan, and Hiro permanently. They're just dead weight these days. I'm definitely not a Claire hater though. I blame the writers for trying to hook her up with a "sidekick" every damn season. At least this lesbian one has personality. Hopefully they keep her dialogue grounded and don't resort to the lame ass "I NEED TO FIND MYSELF" bullshit again.

I haven't given up on Parkman either...

you give heroes writers too much credit

Well, even though I decided I wasn't going to watch it, my friend had it on last night so I watched it with him. I liked the beginning. The carny leader talking with the music, got me in the mood again but we turned it off a little later. Even though I really liked the characters in S1 and didn't want them to die, I think it's time for the series to take just a few characters or none at all and move on. It would be nice if each season was different people in different situations.

I stopped watching after the Guitar Hero montage but I'm not sure where the love comes from the black haired girl. I figured Claire would 'experiment' with her roommate but since she supposedly died, well, didn't see that one coming. No attraction at all to the living one. :lol

Overall, it looks like it could be on the right track so I'm not sure if I'll continue. I guess it will be a week by week basis now, but I'll have to finish watching the last hour if I do. :lol

Well that was pretty crappy. Not as bad as the worst parts from the last couple seasons, but nothing grabbed my attention. The Peter plotline could have been sorta interesting. A guy trying to live a normal life and using his powers to increase his ability to do his normal job? Wow, probably the most intelligently anybody's ever used their powers (though overwriting all of Sylar's powers for Mohinder's was pretty fucking stupid). Reminds me of what I was hoping to see back in Season Fucking One, when they were promoting the show as "Not about secret conspiracies or comic book cliches, but about normal people who realize they have powers." But of course they're going to abandon that by the end of the next episode, and Peter will yet again get to trying to save the day from the big bad.

Anyway, I'm done. Show is now off my DVR list.

He only got the shape-shifting ability from Sylar.

what the fuck am I reading? Heroes fans mocking Chuck? You shoulda stopped watching this piece of shit at the end of season one, it pulled a sucker punch on your brain cells

p.s. chuck is awesome. I thought I'd hate it but god damn I'm in love

I doubt it will get moved to Fridays because moving something to a death slot implies you have something else to put in that slot.

It's NBC.

They have Southland. Or Chuck.

Monday @ 8 PM is a death slot anyway, though.

Seriously all of you bitches that are not watching this anymore because you wanna watch something else... Good for you! Now go away and stop complaining.

but its fun being in the peanut gallery.

Just finished both episodes. It was pretty good actually, felt like a nice reboot.
Will watch until end of season again.

Yeah i completely agree with this complaint, and i haven't even watched any of the seasons past season 1. Due to the fact, the season 1 finale had literally no pay-off to all the awesome shit they were building up to.:lol

During the opening credits I saw there was different cinematogrophers, different writers, and different directors for part 1 and part 2.

I should have turned my TV off then.

Why do I force myself to watch this train wreck monstrosity after four awful seasons?

While I am in no way defending Heroes, which is probably the worst show to survive 4 seasons in recent memory, the practice of a two-part episode having different writers/directors for each part is pretty common.

I was kind of weary of catching the show this season but my roommate saw it on Monday and said they fixed some of the issues so i checked it out on G4 Tuesday night. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I'm intrigued by the carnival people & I like how it seems like they're going to slowly turn Hiro to the dark side. Claire was Claire the usual crap but you never know it's too early to judge. Peter has a lot of potential to be a daredevil like character in the Heroes universe. The hero working in the shadows without anyone knowing.

I'll give the premier a 8/10 things can only go up from the past couple of seasons.

I finally got around to watching the premier last night. I don't know what to think. The premier was good (for Heroes) I think I've just fallen off the bandwagon for this show. I was a big fan up until middle of season 3 like a lot of you the show just turned to crap.

I want to like the show and give it a chance but I know as soon as I do something retarded will happen this season and I'll lose interest in it again. I'm cautiously optimistic after the premier. Let's see if they can keep this positive momentum up.

Zima is ugly! Blergh. Just cause you guys saw her titties doesn't make her hot.

Anyway, the new episode was kinda meh.
