Here's the thing, cancel before the 7th day and the worst thing that happens is you get no marketplace points. You have a better chance of getting something than nothing as long as you try for it, dude.

Here's the thing, cancel before the 7th day and the worst thing that happens is their servers get hacked and your credit card and personal information is sold to the highest bidder and you get no marketplace points. You have a better chance of getting something than nothing as long as you try for it, dude.

If they insist on me providing a reason for cancellation, I'm going to tell them I am actually married, and that my concience got the best of me and I wanted to cancel. Let's see them argue with that...

I received an email last Saturday that said my XBL points card will be shipped within 14 days. I went to cancel my account today (It runs out today, or so I thought), and was told that it was extended for free (I also verified this online) until Nov. 4th. So I'm going to keep the account open until the free card (hopefully) arrives in another week or two.

No, it doesn't charge you at all but sometimes you'll see $1 pending. That pending $1 won't actually turn into a charge, it'll just disappear after a day - its just to check if you gave them a valid credit card number.
