This thread's tangent made me remember something.

Second, I have a similar story, luckily not involving me.
So my best friend and his girlfriend at the time are in desperate need of a place to live. His girlfriend is friends with a girl who deals meth and weed and offers to let them stay there. My friend is really against the idea but after a few weeks of living on random people's couches and non stop begging from his gf, he relents.
Things start going downhill immediately. The dealer and my friend despise each other and my friend has enough common sense to know he is living in a really dangerous situation. He begs his GF to reconsider but she refuses. After just a few weeks, my friend decides to lay down the gauntlet. He is moving out, and his gf can either stay or go with him. But he will be gone by the end of the week.
Two days before he planning on moving out, he is in his bedroom when he hears yelling from the living room. He sneaks out and peaks around the corner to see three men in ski masks and guns pistol whipping the shit out of his GF, the dealer, and one of his friends. They keep screaming "where's the fucking money! you're a dead bitch!"
Turns out she was using the meth instead of selling it and so her supplier sent some thugs to beat her unconscious. They ransack they place, beat her to hell and back, and then leave.
Cops show up, and as they are searching the house, they find tons of drugs in the dealers room, arrest her and threaten her with several years in jail. She snitches, gets out after a week.
So yeah, never hang out at a dealer's house. And any dealer worth a damn never lives or hangs out where he sells.

The worst shit I ever had regarding an old-dealer friend of mine was watching his house being busted by the cops on a BBC1 documentary about drug dealers in Edinburgh which was funny as fuck ("Deh hit ae's pal, it's aw upstair in ma room!".) That's all you really have to worry about in Scottish cities unless you're dealing industrial amounts. None of this big black guys with ski masks and tazers shit. Which - quite frankly - I'm pleased about considering my name is Steve.

That sucks, OP. Still, nobody got hurt and you're all OK for now. However, don't be surprised events like this can happen when you hang around with drug dealers. You should choose wisely on who you pick to hang out with. It should be an eye opener since things could have potentially ended up worse than this. Best of luck.

I had to completely cease hanging out with most of my friends about 7 years ago, becauase this is the kind of shit that started happening pretty regularly. Last I heard, one of those fools is on probation for one of the dumbest things I've ever heard, two of them haev kids they can't afford, and another one has plain out disappeared. If you didn't pick up on it from the conversation I had with blackace, if his buddies live in the U district, they aren't thugs and badasses, they weren't going to chase these guys down or get even. Three kind of people live in the U district, tweakers and methheads that got tired of downtown, college kids, and poor hippies that couldn't afford to live in nicer areas like greenlake, upper queen anne, capital hill, or bellevue.

This is why you don't hang out with drug dealers. You're actually lucky. If it was SWAT with a search warrant you'd be looking at 1-5 on a conspiracy to distribute plus calling your moms from the county jail asking for $2,500 to post bail while bubba just found a new fish.

I don't live in Seattle anymore, since I was moving away the next day. I don't really know what is going on, except that the guy who is my friend's dealer found the ringleader. Retribution is on its way, however, they said it may be a long time coming.
