....that Sony pays publishers to keep fans off Gamepass but now we have a bit more detail on how these deals work.

From the legal docs:
- Capcom must first talk with Sony on subscription service
- After 120 days, Capcom can talk with Sony's competitors.
- Capcom should inform Sony of the price offered by competitors, and give Sony 60 days to match that amount.

Sony has always been anti consumer, they just have some good games studios so get a pass. Same as Apple and every other market leader, they always abuse their power.

Isn't this old news? and frankly I'm sure Xbox has similar contracts when they pay for marketing deals on games too. People need to stop acting like either one of these companies are pro consumer or anti consumer they are each trying to make the most money they can they just have different ways of going about it.

This news is literally over a year old (the full contract was made public in april 2021) but since we've got a regulator on MS' ass we have become a mouthpiece for xbox twitter accounts with no new info.
