How's Loadout, GAF

I was reading th ereviews, out of the 100 or so reviews i scrolled through only one was negative so far...

Granted they also seem to be from when the game wasn't f2p

The game has no boundaries.

I played it when it first came out in the beta, the whole make your own gun thing is pretty awesome. I'm curious how much it's matured.
 
Pretty crazy stuff you can do. I know in beta I made some gun that just kinda shot healing syringes around like flak... I was constantly healing but constantly doing damage... was really weird.

FPS where the guns are totally customizable. To the type of projectile they use, fire rate, amount of projectiles....projectile properties, etc. You can come up with really weird combos.
 
I was in the beta, the making your own weapon part is very well done. Makes for a very varied game. Haven't played it in a while but making your own weapon was the most fun part I think haha.

Also it has a pretty comical style. Third person TF2 with making your own weapons describes it pretty well.

Ya... as an FPS game it's really fun... I just don't do FPS games anymore.

It deserves success though, because the idea is brilliant and executed well.
 
Wow okay weapon crafting is...addicting. Like really fucking addicting. The gun range makes it even better.

Welp. I'm interested also glad that microtransactions are really only for Cosmetic stuff.
 
Anyone else have super long wait times? I've been sitting in the matchmaking queue for a good 15 minutes on the NA server.
 
Just bad. Stupid disgusting and purposeless rotten game. Tries to take it as far as possible to be funny, but fails horribly.

This game makes me sick.

Do not take me wrong, I can appreciate games, that are dumb, but awesome because of it. This is not one of them.

I think it's visually fantastic, and you need to get your funny bone checked out?

The visual style of the game is fucking fantastic, and its compounded on top of a neat gun crafting mechanic.

the gun customization indeed fucking owns.
 
Fun game. Over the top violence in that TF2 kind of way but not as charming. Its closer to garbage pail kids/Mad Magazine campy humor than TF2 I would say. The action is fun and it has some decent game modes. My only complaint thus far has been the lack of players. I'm hoping that changes with the full release.
 
I really want to like this, but I've been waiting 20 minutes on supposedly 3 minute average wait times so I've only played around 5 matches. Why couldn't they have just done it like other F2P FPSs and made a lobby screen where rooms can be made and people can just join them?
 
I played a good 30-40hrs of this about a year ago, but haven't really checked in since then. Really enjoyed it though, hopefully it hasn't turned into pay 2 win.
 
It's excellent and a really big surprise for me tbh. The humour makes me laugh a lot and it's very lighthearted in a fun way. The matchmaking servers are being overloaded at the minute and they're working to get that fixed as soon as they can but it's really enjoyable. The only things you buy with real cash are cosmetic items and XP boosters, seems pretty fair so far.
 
The servers are still abit wonky, but I've had no problem with connecting to co-op matches today.
It seems like a pretty fun game.

Mitch Bowman (RPS, Unwinnable): "Unsurprisingly, Loadout it a pretty bad game. It's also still full of hangs and severe bugs, and should not be out of Early Access yet."

With such glowing praise from my favourite sites, how could I pass on this? :D
