Humble Nintendo Indie Bundle for the Americas

Doing a little background digging, it seems that every developer in the bundle has previously put games up on the humble bundle (with many of them having the same game as in the current bundle).
The sole exception is Wayforward.

Wayforward had games in the AGDQ humble bundle.

It's not in the wikipedia list then.
That said, the recurring pattern is that the developers aren't new to humble. From there, we can probably guess the next entries.

My money is on Trine: Enchanted Edition.

Though that's one too recent.
Would be great since I don't have it, though I can buy it with the discount of having the sequel.:p

They are missing a few bundles. The AGDQ Humble Bundle had a couple Shantae games.

I imagine we'd see Trine 2 before Trine 1 (though I'd hope for 1 because I bought T2 years ago)

I wonder if this was started by NOA or by the developers approaching NOA with the idea.

Either way, I hope this is profitable enough for more console bundles to happen.

Maan, got all excited reading the email they sent me about it. How cool is this???

*not available in my region*

UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH. -_-

I just noticed that seemingly Nintendo are not taking a cut from this. There's no entry for them in the breakdown of the split of the money. Unless they are charging the developers the usual percentage after the fact (which would make the information presented a little misleading)

I wonder if that's the stumbling block for an Xbox/Playstation one. I can imagine both Sony and Microsoft would be unwilling to give up their 30% for any other retailer.

Maybe it's set between nintendo and the individual developer?

just a cool deal all the way around. money is a bit tight so I only could go the 10. Pretty cool they will add another on Tuesday. If the average price stays below 10 I get that too. made my night. thanks for posting all

Doesn't matter if the average moves, just that you paid above average when you did.

The average can go to a hundred bucks, you'll still get the extras.

Just a heads up, regardless of where the average goes from here, you are locked in to BTA bundle, it's how they encourage folks to pay a little more. So Enjoy everything you got/get.

beaten...

Indeed, that is one possibility, although I think a somewhat unlikely one.

Humble make a pretty big deal about the fact that you get to decide how to split up your spend between all the participants in a bundle. If Nintendo are taking a cut from developers, then the sliders where you pick how much to give a developer are inaccurate.

The more likely explanation to me is that Nintendo waived their usual cut. Perhaps something the licensing team at NoA was willing to do, but not NoE.

had to clean out the fridge, but got em on my WiiU.
haven't DL the 3ds ones yet. will probably give out at least Olli Olli and Steamworld 3ds versions.

What I find weird is that between this bundle and the Wii U port of Bloodstained, I feel like I'm seeing an inordinate amount of angsty rage. I really don't see how this bundle can be construed of as a negative in any way...

Nintendo giving Europeans more and more reasons not to buy a Nintendo console. Thanks Nintendo.

Please let this be sarcasm... please....

I'm puzzled by this too -- this is an NOA/Humble thing. This has nothing to do with Europe -- NOE is in charge of their own deals. For that matter, why would this single sale make or break ANY decision to buy a 3DS or Wii U?

Just bought, $12, never did it before since I dont usually game on pc outside of PoE and MMOs which are mostly free :P
It's really great!
And I did it using the WiiU browser for that credit card safety ha!

As an aside, I'm curious if there's any connection between the Humble Bundle talks for this and the fact that Humble Bundle will be used to distribute the Wii U Armikrog codes to backers.

Because I don't trust companies who choose to region lock everything. I don't care if it's Noa or Neo; I won't support it.

Dunno if it's already been confirmed yet, but I just checked and confirmed that using the code for OlliOlli on one system activates the free crossbuy discount for the other system. So don't forget to check it before putting the separate codes in for both systems.

Why is that a issue of trust? Its simply not liking region locking. NOA already commented and said they tried to get it going on a global scale.

Well shit... If I would have known this I would have given a copy to my son and not kept the codes for myself like a horrible father.

Damn you are right. Got OlliOlli on my 3DS thats linked to the same account as my Wii U. This is great because my daughter and I both have 3DS(s) and I think it is crap that you cant have them on one account and share games. So now I can do the free cross buy on the same account and use the code on my second account 3DS. Thanks so much for sharing!

Doesnt seem Steamworld Dig works though :(

Wow, The Fall has an amazing narrative conceit. Why were Giant Bomb the only people talking about this game?

Super best friends also talked about it, if you go to their channel(thesw1tcher) they have a playlist of them playing the WiiU version of the game(altho there is a music glitch that happens in one of the parts)

Classic case of two steps forwards, 4 steps back for Nintendo there.

Nintendo business practices continue to be a joke.

Region locked to a couple of regions? Sigh.

I already owned all of these games on other platforms but they are all damn good enough games to double dip on a fantastic bundle like this. We'll played.

I would imagine it'd be a nightmare for Nintendo Europe/third parties to try and do something similar, considering the PAL eShop is split up so much and you've got the likes of Australia and New Zealand missing so much content in the first place.

Retro City Rampage 3DS, WON'T BE one of the additional games. In case anyone expected it.

The developer reminded people on Facebook of the $5 sale ending this week and it not been bundled. :p

It is? I have $8 left on my Eshop wallet, I should get that tonight.

Which would normally not be an issue, but Nintendo continue to make a meal of their online experience IMO.

I have most of these already any ways but it is still an awesome bundle for those who doesn't have it.

Region locking. :(

Only bonus game that I'm really hoping for is Shovel Knight for both systems. That would be great but I'm not expecting it.

I'd be very surprised if Nintendo wasn't directly making money from this. Let's not be too naive here.

they are probably not taking the usual cut for several reasons:

good graces of the indie devs
people are excited about their eShop
get people use to playing eShop titles

its a huge win for ninty in america. this thread is just full of people complaining about a regional sale....which has always been the case.

I have Guacamelee on everything else, but it's a great game, so maybe I'll give the code away.

I already have Woah Dave

Mighty Switch Force on Wii U is ehh, and it's a remake/enhancement of the 3DS one so I really don't care.

A few of the other games are tempting, and I want to support more things like this... so I'll likely bite anyway.
