So the contention is that she's biased against Xbox fans. And basing that with the start of this gen, as if Xbox fans weren't completely crazy and GAF full of actual paid astroturfers trying to clean Xbox one's image.
People were rationalizing and making up bullshit to justify terrible decisions of their favorite console and engaging in pettu wars left and right and being (mostly) rightfully banned.

So what about the ones who were not banned? Are they all crazy? Is it a persecution complex? Is it completely unimaginable that that someone who moderates here has a shit attitude when it comes to preferences of a video game console?

I remember her deleting a few tweets particularly after some NPDs, they read like something from N4G or YouTube.

I’m sure most people here, leaving or otherwise, pretty much want the same thing - the best of what used to be GAF and less of what made it rubbish.

A good discussion based community, fast and (mostly) reliable news and good moderation. But it also needs less moderation based on personal preference, less pile ons and less labelling. As I said in a similar thread too many people discuss/argue things in black and white. Any disagreements end in one person attempting to shut down conversation by calling the other some sort of buzzword, which in turn leads to several others jumping on the bandwagon. The words SJW/GG/Nazi/etc are thrown about casually when people don’t agree. That’s not to say that sometimes they aren’t right but it’s almost contagious and it leads to a toxic community where people can’t simply disagree on something and let it go.

There’s a lot of emotion flying about at the moment and some people here are taking it personally, regardless of what ‘side’ they’re planning on taking.

Hello everyone,

I do not want to get into the backgrounds of the topic at hand, but I am quite appalled by the behaviour some users have been showing regarding death threats, NSFW images and the like.

I do not know where the future might lead me, as I will seek a way to enjoy my freetime and currently its not yet clear where that place might be. I can understand that some people are sad, frustrated or disillusioned and they try to cope in their own way. For some this might be staying quiet, for some its a funny quitting pun and for some its apparently to punish and damage neogaf in any way by posting damaging content.

Its only been a few days when we were all together laughing about stupid stuff like #WontSomebodyPleaseThinkOfTheChildren? , so... could you please do that?

I am currently trying to organize my circle of acquaintances and am sorta semi involved in migrating procedures, so I feel slightly responsible for how this transpires even though I am trying my best not to rile up anyone. I want to make it very clear that most people looking for a new home do not agree with this extreme thread shitting behaviour. Neogaf might become a place with a different direction than I was used to and that is fine, people are allowed to like different things.

In case this will be my last post for whatever reason, I do wish you all the best
, maybe we'll see each other again here or somewhere else, I dont know yet.

But please stop shitting up threads with death threats and NSFW content that actively harms peoples life. All of us are better than this, even in these tumultuous time.

We THOUGHT all of us were better than this but the people posting the subject you talked about show otherwise.

Now that I got that out of the way. Thank you for being a decent human being and talking this out like an adult. I think if we all acted as civil as you whether we agree or disagree then we would get more accomplished regarding who would like to have their accts banned or removed etc. I see alot of people have left or are just not posting that I know I will miss due to their contributions and knowledge on many things we discuss here on Gaf. I am one of the ones who will stay. If people want to leave then that is entirely up to them I wont stop them but we all don't need to hear you say why your leaving or have you trash talk those that are staying. I was angry at the people migrating at first ill man up and say it but then I thought ok these people came to their decision by the same ways that I came to mine so I refrain from talking down to them as the argument can go both ways. I hope that those remaining here that want to have their accts deleted act like decent people an dont ruin it for the ones choosing to stay by posting lewd images or shit talking everyone. If we cross paths again here or on another site lets put our differences aside and discuss what we are passionate about, gaming and just random threads that get us through the days.
