If you could revive one cancelled game, which one would you choose?

:(

This! A thousand times this!

I don't know if it counts, but any sequel to Eternal Darkness. (I don't think it does, as I'm not sure it was ever truly announced.)

Some great pics in here that outsider game did sound great in edge. That Starcraft ghost butt is ridiculous. Not sure which game I would resurrect because for the most part these games probably get canned because their crappy. I guess 8 days at least it had the cool looking cover shoot bang mechanics.

Skies of Arcadia 2

I could probably name a million sega games but tyeah, that one was sad, Sega never gave Overworks a fighting chance. They even cancelled Skies HD
They cancelled Skies HD? I didn't even know it existed outside our hopes and dreams. I was hoping it was still 'coming'.

The game would have featured Farore as its oracle, and was originally set to be centered around time travel and puzzles concerning the time of day. The puzzles were all to be focused on time, and some were unable to be solved outside of a specific time of day. Mystical Seed of Wisdom, which eventually became Oracle of Ages, originally had the theme of color, with each event and puzzle relating to color in some way. The developers abandoned this theme, however, and after the cancellation of Mystical Seed of Courage in July 2000, Mystical Seed of Wisdom adopted its time travel theme.

Fez 2. From the short teaser, it looked like Phil Fish was going to start playing with vector graphic, which sounds super interesting.

Propeller arena.

Cancelled, yes...but it's not exactly unavailable. I could chuck my copy in my Dreamcast right now...I hope you knew this, and are upset because you never got to play it online, rather than the much worse possibility that you've been sitting there for thirteen years not knowing you can just download it off the internet! It's a fucking blast in 4 player split screen.

Stalker 2, Timesplitters 4, Starcraft Ghost, and so many others in this thread that I came to say. But how about the game that was cancelled, so that the developers could take over work on Starcraft Ghost?

Metal Arms 2

The original game, Metal Arms: Glitch in the System is easily one of my favourite games ever made, and the only game the developer, Swingin' Ape Studios, ever got to make. The whole story, from trying to create a bounty hunter game, licencing their own engine out to survive, to being ranked the best game Vivendi had at E3 and the cancelled sequel, is in this great article here.

What it doesn't include is what happened afterwards, when the whole team was bought out by Blizzard, and put to work on Starcraft Ghost, which was at that point in time a complete mess under the direction of Nihilistic Software - who sucked then, and suck more now. It's pretty fascinating, especially if you played Metal Arms, to see Starcraft Ghost suddenly (and obviously) switch on to the Metal Arms engine, and the Swingin' Ape team make their mark on the game. And then boom. Cancelled.

Fuck Core...Angel of Darkness was HORRIBLE

One bad game. One fucking game...which was in fact being rushed thanks to Eidos. In return they gave us 4 incredible games which defined the series (and a half one which was Chronicles) developed tirelessly year after year (again thanks to Eidos greed) and which are still enjoyed by many TR fans.

I would have been very disrespectful if i disregarded their whole output since 1996 just because they made one bad game (which cost them as a company far more than they deserved).

Noooooooooooooooooooooo

I mean yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssss

make it a Wii U exclusive :P

Yes, this one as well. Core Design was just awesome. Angel Of Darkness tried way too many things at once and Eidos fucked it up as well. Would have loved to see the story continue.

Mega Man Legends 3. Announcing the game after a 10 year hiatus, and involving the fans, just to cancel it was one of the most heartbreaking things I've seen. And I've only played the first for like 20 minutes.
They should've just kept quiet until it was green-lit. And every time Capcom will announce something, I always keep hoping it's MML3, I can't help it for some reason.

Legend of Dragoon 2 :(

The first one had a ton of neat ideas, and I think a sequel could've perfected the formula.

Also, I did not know Skies of Arcadia was getting an HD remake at some point. I just bought the GC version lol

I'm surprised no one's said Banjo Threeie...

I wouldn't revive that actually. Rare are in no position to make it, and what they were working on with for Threeie that became nuts and bolts only happened because the levels were getting too huge.

Tooie was already seemed worse than Kazooie because of the ridiculous size of the levels, I dread to think what they were planning on Threeies scope.

edit: A pirates of the Caribbean assasins creed type game was being made? And they chose to continue developing TRON of all things over it before shuttering the studio?

Some decisions really are baffling.
