I've just been following this thread myself, haven't given IGN any traffic. But at this point it seems pretty obvious that the games I was rooting for are getting completely snubbed, so I'm out.

You Xenoblade crybabies should just be happy it made the list at all instead of bitching about Ni No Kuni beating your sacred cow by a couple of spots. Same goes to everyone else complaining about positions.

It's weird. This list isn't really controversial. It's like they're trying to be controversial, but failing at it as the resulting list is just too random.

I'm sure this has already been asked in the thread, but why doesn't some on GAF try and make a GAF list? Everyone wouldn't be tasked with making at top 100 list, of course, but maybe something like a top 25 list where #1 gets 25 points, #2 24, and so on and so forth. Only rules being the games must have been release first on a last gen console (360/PS3/Wii) and no handheld games.

I mean opinions are opinions but if Tomb Raider is a bag of chips Demon's Souls is a 3-star meal. Even if one game can't be objectively better than another, come on, Demon's birthed Dark Souls which is undoubltedly one of the most influential games this gen, meanwhile Tomb Raider came out, was received decently well, and kind of forgotten. No one is making games and listing Tomb Raider as a prime influence here...
