I feel like something needs to be done about this list, but I'm not sure what. Maybe a flaming paper bag full of poo and a doorbell ring at IGN's front door would suffice.
As long as Fallout 3 is in the top 10 I'm good.
The only games in the top 40 so far that truly hurt my soul for their inclusion are Tomb Raider and Halo 4. Everything else I can deal with. But those, oh god no
Promethean Kush.
God of War III at #60?

Burnout Paradise at 37?! Getthefuckouttahere. A mediocre game that contributed so many unnecessary changes and poor design choices to the formula and essentially killed the once-glorious franchise in the process. I don't know why people rate that game, I really don't. I'm sitting here waiting for my proper successor to Revenge and IT'S NEVER GOING TO FUCKING HAPPEN!
Thanks Paradise.
Can't disagree with thatYou know, while the rankings are rather poorly thought out, this list is a good reminder that we had a great generation.
All 3 Mass Effects are going to be in the top 20. Yea, ME2 is going to rank really highly, possibly top 3.
With the way things have been going, they might not even be listed at all.

top 5 predictions
5. Wii Sports
4. Uncharted 2
3. Grand Theft Auto V
2. Super Mario Galaxy
1. The Last Of Us
Safe bets for sure but I bet I'm right. The top 5 will be a mixture of these five titles. Substitute Wii Sports for Portal 2 or Bioshock if necessary.
jesus, I've been out the game too long never heard of that one? indigo or sativa?
Its actually spice. IGN exclusive.
It's weird. This list isn't really controversial. It's like they're trying to be controversial, but failing at it as the resulting list is just too random.
So limbo is better than games like witches 2, deus ex hr, halo3, mgs4... Is this some kind of lucky draw?
Out of interest was it an IGN wide thing? And did the platform exclusive lists have any weight on placements?I've never, ever worked at a website, including IGN, that has ever even considered intentionally sabotaging a top-list to court controversy/pageviews.
It's such a silly accusation. Why do so many people envision a scenario where the Editors all rub their hands together and say "yes... yessss... we'll put Halo 4 above Halo 3 and THEN we'll be rolling in the pageviews!" instead of living in a real world where it went more like this: "Who likes Halo 4 more? 6 of you? Who likes Halo 3 more? Only 3 of you? Okay, let's open it up to debate to determine rough rankings and then move on to the next game."
Meanwhile no one is listening to me in the corner saying that Reach is my personal favorite. Opinions, right? What are ya gonna do.

DX:HR at 39, sigh. Granted, the boss fights were absolutely misplaced, but otherwise it's a masterpiece. I haven't played the DC yet (I do own it though), but that version seems perfect.
I have to imagine FTL is top 20....it would be shocking if they left if off after having, say, Limbo so high. Any other high profile indies not listed yet?
