Netherrealm likes their females to be macho ugly strippers, it's just what they do. Changing that now would be like Red Hot Chili Peppers with a different singer.
 
Really? wow way to miss a lucrative opportunity.

Everyone gets two NRS designs alts, which is what is shown in the demo.
They also shown Flashes weird elsworld alt, and Wonder Woman's red son alt.

After that everyone else seems to have a new52 alt, and some flashpoint alts, and Superman has a Godfall alt, and Grundy has a Fedora.

Yes like I said before it feel slow and clunky.
And some of the inputs feel kind of laggy.

Sorry but I missed your comment among the 4.5 pages of people complaining about the lack of action in their pants after seeing Wonderwoman and Raven.
 
Felt odd at first, didn't like it. Then gave it another go an hour or so later and it clicked with me.

Not a fan of how similar it looks and feels to MK9, but the hits and combo's feel really good to me. This demo actually sold my brother and I on the game.

Will add more as I continue to goof off.

The combo's with their many hit's sold I on the game as well. Not my brother though, because he thought the combo's weren't good enough for modern fighting game's. So the game did not appeal to both my brother and I. It only appealed to I.

Would like to add that using the enviroment (Punching people into a helicoptor!) and hitting people with the batmobile makes me laugh every time, just feels so good. Could see how the latter might get repetitive though.
 
Game feels fine to me. *shrugs* Feels a bit slow at first, but air dashing and combos make it seem a bit faster when you incorporate them.

Also, WW in game looks fine to me, it's more certain expressions she makes.
 
I think this feels a lot more fluid than MK, but it does take awhile to get used to and felt very slow at first. When you start getting some of the combos and juggles down it looks a lot better, and the EX moves seem incredibly useful. Bouncing people off the helicopter into a combo feels awesome.
 
A friend and I just played for about 2 hours, the game is a ton of fun. Lex is a zoning beast, and I love how mobile Batman is. Zipline combos are the best :D.
 
I liked playing as Wonder Women as I like her close range attacks with the sword & shield and long range with the lasso. I still need some time to get better but I'm not going to be as good as I usually am with MK games. Overall I'm impressed with the presentational quality with menus and transitions.
 
I wish I didn't suck at making combos/being in the lab in general. lol

That said, game is pretty dope from my first quick arcade run through. Wonder Woman feels like she'll be a lot of fun once I get a handle on the game's speed. Sword stance is as slow as everyone says.
 
How did NetherRealm manage to make the DC universe characters so ugly? This art direction is awful.

i can see they really tried their best with the combo system and looks more appealing than Mortal Kombat, but the character models are seriously shitting on the innovation
 
Finally got to play it, and man this game is fuuun! I didn't get to experience it much, since I was playing with friends. But it is not slow one bit, its actually fast, in an unexpected way.

The cross-ups in the game are pretty crazy, because they seem like it won't go behind, but ends up doing it.

Lex, isn't as slow to really expect. He actually pretty good.

Also, everyone saying WW's sword/shield isn't too good, just remember she receives no chip damage in it. :3

I'll actually write more worthy things to mention, when I get my hands on it for myself.
 
its like the characters move one limb at a time. you get over it after 10 minutes and when the fights starts its more fluid, but it's unappealing.

anyways Lex Luthor seems to be a mix of Dormamu and Rocket Racoon. TOP TIER
 
Insta-air dash with Wonder Woman is basically Magnetic Blast+foward

But she can only get an Air Light attack out before landing. And it combo to the ground.


some of the Command choices for her special moves are ...weird. Like the shield tosses; back forward motion for straight tosses and qc for angles.

And Diana looks good in gameplay, close up to her face/upperbody shows the faults in her model, but during gameplay her model makes sense i guess, she's animated pretty well

Are you saying visually this looks more appealing than MK9? I thought MK9 looked very generic at first, but it grew on me. This game makes Batman look like some cheap knockoff.
 
Downloading the demo now. For the FGC peeps, are you using a stick or pad? I want to go stick to stay universal but MK9 was easier with a pad.
 
I played the game at a pre release in Liverpool that just ended.

People are going to be whinging at Black Adam when the game comes out. Full screen unpunishable divekick. Low full screen projectile. Half screen super. He won't be top tier but people are going to moan.

Aquaman is super fun. :)
 
weird

tiger knee motions work in Sword n Shield stance but not in normal. for the Shield and Tiarra tosses anyways.

Seems like in this you have to execute the special then wait a short time then press the meter burn button. But still having some difficulty pulling this off (never had an issue in MK9). Any thoughts/advice on this?

You have to do it during the movie's active frames. You are tacking on a second special rather than enhancing the original move.
 
The game is very fast and fluid.

Full game lets you switch between MK-style/Capcom-style.

People who've had more time with it mostly say the game is pretty fast though.

That's not very MK. Seems like a step in the right direction...

Wonder woman has an air dash, nice. This game feels very fluid, like Marvel and MK had a baby.

Okay. This has convinced me to give it a try now.

It's Soul Calibur V style. Is a modifier that you press afterwards, not at the same time as the move.
