Fuck yea they are. The AMD 300 Series might be coming soon but most games cater to team green.

Right now? Absolutely not.
Because AMD is about to release their new 3xx cards (by the end of June) and this will force a price drop on the 980.
Plus the 390x and even 390 look set to blow it out of the water in terms of performance for what the 980 is worth now.

NVIDIA cards could/should drop in price after that. Problem with 980 is, that it has only 4GB.
Better than 3,5GB, but still not enough to get above to 1080p in every game.
