I thought I made it abundantly clear it was based on a feeling. Yet (as expected) someone is trying to rationalize it.

You are not posting in a vacuum. You post, someone (as expected) will react.

True but it makes the reaction kind of useless. I have already explained that the fact I don't like Thor is merely based on a feeling he does not belong with Spidey and the rest.
I have also stated there might be 'rational reasons' there is a Universe where they do belong together but that it still won't change the feeling I have.

How can that 'feeling' I have be wrong?

I'm also on The Sentry-boat.

I LOVE Marvel characters, but man, really?

By the way, this is my fisrt post, I've just been validated!
congrats on getting validated!

my condolences for having Sentry on your mind in any way shape or form!

"You got it all wrong" and "you are wrong" are not the same, imho. One means you could have adjusted your expectations a bit more openly, other means...you are wrong. I did not say " you are wrong", so...

Ok than I might have misunderstood your post. English is not my first language so go easy on me ok ;)

Quite hard to do that, on Dark Reign has an important role being one of Osborn's thugs.
Quite easy, pretend he is the green goblin in your mind.

lol I have an unreasonable dislike of all things Sentry and Ironman

Spanish Wrath said:
Well, but he isn't cheap.

I like Ironman 'cause he is the classic anti-hero type. Douche and savior.
I'm sorry :(

My policy on Sentry - pretend he doesn't exist in all his shapes and forms

so do to the sentry what marvel does to the blue marvel? gotcha.

speaking of the blue marvel, he has the potential to be broken as hell with a decent writer.

Oh man, this guy. Some subatomic particle magicks going on there.

Blackace, you have great power within you, with thus comes a great responsibility! Break free from the trash metal/surfer/hobo/hippie dude chains that binds your mind!

i stopped liking stark during the armor wars. it took him a while to become a more compelling character, only to be trashed by civil war.

They had to rebuild the character, and Civil War + Extremis was the perfect combo.

so they rebuilt him into an unlikeable douche? doesnt seem to make much sense to me. especially when marvel themselves made the announcement that they didnt want there to be a black and white. kinda hard for them to be true to that when all the pro reg side did was ambush the others and caused most of the damage that happened.

You know I can't think of my favorite marvel hero. You know I like iron man and I own ultimate spiderman and Marvel Knights spiderman and I like the latter a little more and I like x men not sure which incarnation but ill pick 90's versions, any other incarnation seems they're all stuck up

So I pick Rom, he's a cool guy

What I mean is that after the mess he crated during Civil War, they had to rebuild the character, and after Fallen Son, The Initiative and Dark Reign, we have a new Stark.

which makes me despise marvel even more in that regard. dont have him redeem himself for his actions during civil war. have him wipe his memories clean so to tony, he never did them!

that blunder was up there with the unnecessary retcon that was brand new day

where are you lot in the monthly comics thread? :(

side comic threads are always more successful that the official ones. its a fact

I like talking about comics in a more relaxed manner honestly, this thread serves my purpose. I do my hardcore nerding on comicvine mostly.

Typical convo in those threads is about what current books people picked up. Cool for them, and all, but not as interesting from the outside in. And definitely not as interesting as figuring out if the Hulk could kick Jubilee's ass.

Picking one favourite is so tough. Here are my top five.

1. The Sentry
2. The Sentry
3. The Sentry
4. Deadpool
5. The Sentry

Batman's too smart to make a loss

Stark doesn't give a shit about his company

no surprises here

ironman seemed pretty rich from the movies lol
that what i was going by not familiar with the comics

yeah, i'm just going by the films too, but as soon as stark returned from the middle east he spent all his time building the iron man suit (hence why he almost got killed by jeff bridges, for neglecting the company and making him throw a hissy fit)

he's more interesting in being rich than staying rich. meanwhile, bruce wayne is like a genius, so he ain't gonna lose money any time soon

Off topic here but coming from someone who rarely reads comic books I need a question answered. Recently I've been getting into X-Men, and one of the most common issues they seem to face is how the public is essentially anti-mutant. Yet other heroes from the Marvel universe like Spiderman or the Fantastic Four seem to get idolized. Are they not the same thing? I'm no comic book buff so correct me if I'm wrong here, but Spiderman's power comes from DNA mutation via exposure to a radioactive arachnid, and the Fantastic Four are pretty much the same deal except with a magical space wave or whatever. How can citizens in the Marvel universe hate the X-Men but adore these other heroes? In fact how would the even know these other heroes weren't X-Men style mutants? It becomes even more confusing when they have these cross over issues where everyone teams up to stop the big bad thingamajig and everyone receives praise except the X-men.

Do they ever explain this, or is this one of those "LoL comic book lore" moments?
Well one, the people answering this question, how would a normal person watching the news or seeing them in action in person be able to tell who is a mutant and who isn't? To me everyone is a filthy mutant/

If we were to think about living in the Marvel universe, the difference between a Spiderman/FF and X-Men is that both all five of the former are much more recognizable than the X-Men. There have been so many mutants in and out of the team how could you remember them all? Further, there are so many 'mutants' running around being dickheads and fucking shit up, how do i know they aren't part of the X-Men vigilante group? That's how I'd think of it.

Cosmic Spiderman punched the Hulk into Orbit. That's pretty assholish.
