Yeah. No doubt. I think it was supposed to. However, I would have preferred if she got hers. Yet, I guess the world is a far better place with her in it, including the good fortune her little sister had with the story she wrote.

I liked when she said "You know my sister is an evil demon, right?" and her husband was like "Dude, did you SEE that ass? I like it when she's mean; It gets me off hard." or something like that. My Japanese needs work. But, I'm almost positive that's what he said.
I was hoping that she would get hers too

Lol, the subtitles I read definitely didn't say that. :lol :lol

Who knows which one of you is right though (uhm, your comment seems out of character, though XD )

Yuu Yamada was so hot. Her lips, dude. I don't care if she slapped my momma, I'd "talk it out."

What's everybody watching now? I'm almost done with 1st prince of coffee house (Korean). Like all the Korean comedy dramas I've seen, the series starts off pretty funny but gets all melodramatic midway through. I'm honestly watching through the rest of the episodes at double speed just to be done with it.

I need a good light hearted Japanese comedy to cleanse my palate :lol

Decided to finally start on Kono yo no Hate. Watched first few episodes today, very good so far. I'm expecting it to be a very depressing series though.

After not watching anything for awhile I've started East of Eden (korean), which I'm really enjoying sofar (7eps in).

And if there one thing I like about korean shows over japanese ones (from what I've seen), the acting is just so much better...that and when they use english it sounds halfway decent

Hey guys, I'm building a stockpile of stuff to bring with me to watch while I'm in China. Last things I saw were Gokusen 3, and Rookies, neither of which I actually finished watching, though I'll probably finish them while I'm in China.

I need recommendations on something recent. What would you recommend? Thanks.

I actually don't like her very much...

You are a silly joker, Zoku. Telling silly jokes that are silly.

I'm curious about this as well. I'd like to get into J-Dramas (and C-Dramas for that matter, but I don't know where to start!)
Duke of Mount Deer 2000 is my favorite cdrama.

I think it has good themes.

Any good series on right now? The fall season seems to be lacking.

I haven't found a good series to get into this season. I am still waiting for Hana Yori Dango Final but it's taking forever.

Reading up on next season, Love Shuffle seems good.

Good news Nodame fans.

hot on the heels of yesterday's announcement of a 3rd Nodame Cantabile anime series, today came an announcement of 2 more live action movies.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/new...ion-nodame-cantabile-films-green-lit-for-2010

This year's 24th issue of Kodansha's Kiss magazine has announced on Wednesday that two live-action films based on Tomoko Ninomiya's Nodame Cantabile musical romance manga have been green-lit for 2010. The two movies will continue the story of the 2006 live-action television drama series and this year's two-part Nodame Cantabile Shinshun Special in Europe television special (pictured at right). Specifically, it will continue the Paris chapter of two budding musicians who met each other as a student-teacher pair in Japan. Juri Ueno (live-action Young Kindaichi Case Files, Kodomo no Kodomo, Warau Michael) and Hiroshi Tamaki (MW's Michio Yūki, GTO drama guest star) will reprise their respective roles as Nodame and Chiaki. The first film will open in January 2010, while the second film will open later in the spring of 2010.

How is Dragon Zakura? Only Abe drama i hadn't watch yet.

Wow you've watched all but 1 of his dramas? He's in a couple dozen I think. Dragon Zakura is very good and is a nice twist to the standard "unlikely teacher motivates delinquent students" drama. Abe doesn't go around miraculously saving all his students like those teachers tend to do; instead, he gives life lessons and lets the students make their own decisions. Whether they listen to him or not is not his business :D

Aragaki Yui from My Boss My Hero (a GAF favorite) is in there also.

Hana Yori Dango Final was crazy

I'm afraid to watch it, because I've never seen a special that didn't suck ass and rape my memories of the original series.

Holy shit... I haven't been watching any J Dramas. What's good right now? Zoku and Linkzg, I'm asking for your recommendations, as they have been stellar so far. I'm going to try not to fall in the trap of watching Japanese television my first week or so in the country.

I haven't watched any recently either. I'm thinking of starting Tiger and Dragon because I played Yakuza 2 recently and feel like watching something Yakuza related.

but Hana Yori Dango Final is actually insane.
Makino punches out a bear and Domyouji shaves his face with a credit card at one point

Makino does what? That's facepalm worthy. Last thing I watched was Seigi no Mikata. If it wasn't for Yu Yamada's hotness, i wouldn't have made it through.

I agree what she did was indeed ridiculous, but besides that it was a nice movie mainly about the relationship between Makino and Doumyouji, just needed abit more F4 in it and it would've been great.

I watched Hotaru no Hikari recently. It was amusing. Real nice music too (same person that did the OST for Tetsuwan Birdy: Decode.)

Do so. It's quite good. Not exactly focused on Yakuza though.

Korean dramas are where it's at. My wife is obsessed with Witch Yoo Hee, Goong and Sassy Girl atm.

Check out dramafever.com. They only have a small selection right now but it's bound to grow in the future

The new season has started. Last one was terrible but things are looking up with Love Shuffle, Voice, and Arifureta Kiseki

I haven't picked anything to watch this season、most of it looks pretty meh. I wish they had bigger budgets.

J-Dramas were pretty "meh" all last year. I usually don't expect high quality from my J-Dramas, but the whole scene has really fallen into a pattern of "hire on an effeminate Johnny's pretty boy or three and make a ridiculous adaptation of some popular Manga."

I don't think I've really enjoyed a J-Drama since "My Boss My Hero" and even that was a bit too ridiculous for me at times.

What bothers me most is none of the leads have any chemistry. I blame last friends

Outside of anything on NHK such as the yearly taiga drama, you won't find much of anything with a budget unfortunately. I personally haven't enjoyed anything since Galileo, these days I watch mostly variety or comedy shows.

I am still mad they didn't do a second season of Galileo. Sometimes i hear the music in my head and just want to knock shit off a table and start doing algebraic formulas.

Yeah me too. And with the main actor Masaharu Fukuyama cast in a major role for the 2010 taiga drama if not this year probably never.

Have you watched the TV special (which takes place before the TV show), or the movie that hit the theater last year? Both are worth watching just for more of a Galileo fix. There are the novels and manga which cover much more than the TV show as well. Hell there is a DS game too :D

Planning on checking out the special. I need another good mystery drama

Not Japanese, but is anybody watching the Korean version of Hana Yori Dango?

I'm on the fence because I don't want to get hooked, but it appears to be a faithful adaptation.

I've started to look at Korean dramas, but I don't think I could take another dose of this.

Why does everybody hate that dude so much? Who else is going to play the rich badass with a heart of solid gold?

the only good thing I heard about the Korean version of HYD is that Domyouji is more like Domyouji from the anime/manga, both physically and mentally.

He was too short and puny. He didn't seem threatening at all >_<
