The filmmakers behind James Bond 24 are reportedly looking for 007 to face off against a giant powerhouse of a henchman in the vein of Oddjob and Jaws.

"Casting has begun for the main assassin, with the search specifically focussed on someone extremely physically fit and over 6' 2". Whoever wins the role will have several altercations with Daniel Craig's 007 throughout the film and also a driving sequence," according to MI6.

"Former sports athletes will be under consideration along with anyone 'very unusual'. The character has the working name of 'Hinx' (which may change before shooting starts) and is said to be between 30 and 45 years old."

Oddjob (played Harold Sakata) was Goldfinger's mute, Korean manservant who could brawl one-on-one with Bond, but was just as deadly with his decapitating steel-rimmed bowler hat.

As played by 7'2" actor Richard Kiel in The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker, Jaws was a strong man and assassin with a mouthful of metal teeth that could chew through steel cable.

Both Oddjob and Jaws appeared in the video game 007 Legends.

Bond 24, which starts filming this December under the direction of Skyfall's Sam Mendes, opens Oct. 23, 2015, in the UK and Nov. 6, 2015, in the U.S.

So what? She doesn't sleep with people she kills. Are you saying that this female villain not only can't have sex with her enemies, but that she can't have sex period? That seems a little ridiculous.
I meant more like she's in it for the ideals and stuff.

She's no one's woman. She's just a killer.

Wonder if this will be Craig's last. Trust Mendes, even if Skyfall wasn't perfect it was still a great addition to the series.

MI6 is handling casting for the Bond movies?

Bond has always had campy aspects in every single bond but Craig's.

That's why I loved Casino Royale (and to a lesser extent Quantum of Solace) so much.

I hoped this would be a new direction for the Bond movies, but they gave it all up with Skyfall.

How about a Bond movie where he just status home? Catches up on his Netflix backlog.

Oh great, now they've spoiled the fact that the new Bond film will have a villain, and a car sequence.

GOSH.

I've heard Thanos may make a cameo appearance too.

As for the casting, I'm dubious because those previous 'great' henchmen became great naturally by just being iconic of the films they appeared in. Trying to deliberately create a new 'brand-name' henchman is going to create a rather forced presence on screen.

Has there been anti-Bond? Someone just like only pure evil?

edit; wait, Skyfall has that nvm.

Red Grant, to an extent.

I like the idea of this, but the word 'Assassin' has me very slightly worried. When I think of Oddjob and Jaws, I never think of them as assassins. Still, should be good anyway!

Wonder if Bond 26 is finally going to validate the codename theory!

You mean after Skyfall destroyed it by showing the Bond family gravestones?

I guess Craig could be the first Bond and others could assume his identity. But as for tying the whole series together, that's impossible at this point. Not that you would want to, considering the different tones that each Bond brings to the table. I don't want Roger Moore existing in the same universe as Timothy Dalton.

I do mean by others assuming the Bond name, yes. Wishful thinking on my part but I don't care

I also don't care about tying them all together so much. Casino Royale was a reboot, and they are free and clear to do whatever they want with future installments

So like Craig dies in the climax and the next scene we see Idris Elba being interviewed by Gareth Mallory and he's all, "My name is Bond, James Bond. "

Awesome. The one thing missing from the recent bond films (even going back to the 90s) is super memorable bond villains and henchmen <3
