Fully agree. I dislike him as a person and for his political leanings, BUT we all know his reports are legit, and his books offer great insight into the gaming industry.

Many people on gaf have the same mentality as those on REEEEE, but reversed. But you get to express your opinion here, even if it doesn't align with the leaders, making it much better.

Like honestly, it's rare. Most game journalists are not trained journalists and have no idea how to do that sort of thing. I appreciate it when someone does.

I recognize that a lot of people would prefer to consume PR hype than to hear negativity about corporate culture at game studios but you gotta respect the effort.

Texting disgruntled employees who were just let go to catch them at their weakest point to talk is investigative journalism? His books are he said she said gossip. It’s like the dude knows nothing about office politics or never worked an office job in his life. The things he write about would never be published if it is not for this stupid industry operating like the defense industry and game hobbyist obsession with so called “insiders”.

He doesn’t. He lies, manupulates, and pushes false narratives that garner him more clicks and attention.

He sat on the rape allegations for years. Got pissy when others finally revealed the info because he couldn’t be first to monetize it.

He had hundreds of rockstar employees telling him how they loved the work culture, but he didn’t publish their views and instead focused on only the negatives. Many of which weren’t even good employees or game devs at all. A number of them were janitorial staff.

Similar things happened with all his “reveals”.

He is a hypocritical weasel who just wants attention and money. He doesn’t give a rats ass about anyone in the industry and would sell anyone under the bridge if he could make a quick buck.
