Flower was an amazing game and will anways be special to me and I'm sure that this will be unforgettable too.
Videogamer said:And if Journey is mesmeric on your own, it's a revelation with a partner. That early reticence to engage will dissolve as you realise that these vast expanses are much easier to traverse with two. A jab of the circle button from either player sends out a noise that sparks the other's inner powers, and instead of trudging slowly across hilly dunes, you'll glide over them. Arduous ascents become spectacular flights, each leap seeing the pair of you carried upwards in a magical dance created by your own interactions. At times your humanoid avatars feel more avian, your communication a delicate, intricate courtship of otherworldly sounds and graceful, almost balletic movements. In an arena dominated by conflict, it's an astonishing achievement to imbue players with the desire to co-operate. And not just to co-operate, but to co-habit, to share this bizarre, beautiful experience. It's no real exaggeration to say that, at times, it feels like the first flutterings of romance. Here, it is you and this other person against the perils and hardships of the world: you pull together to get through the bad times, you dance and sing in unison with joy at the good. Alone, you feel lost, fragile; together, you're empowered. You may have experienced similar in the silent but unbreakable bond of friendship found in Ico. But never quite like this, never with another player.

I loved Flower and Flow, but I do think these scores are a tad bit silly. Way too many 10/10 and 5/5 here in my opinion.Sucks that I won't be able to experience this for a while because I don't have access to a PS3 right now.
Anyone else getting the vibe that this might be one of those cases where it ends up with a slight negative backlash down the road due to hyperbole it received at release?
10/10, shut up and take my money, here is my first born, etc...

That's either really great, or really bad. You're elated from your experience and you see 'xXxCuntTeethxXx' pop up, it's going to be a real bummer.
My review in Swedish (since everyone else is pimping their stuff):
Select translated quotes:
"If you didn't like Flower you won't like this either, but that makes you a bad, bad person."

no, too expensive. when it's half that , yes.
Value is relative to the experience surely - not duration?
"Without words, it promises to touch anyone that experiences it. Even watching someone else play leaves you gripped by the events on screen."
hyperbole alert
Yep. And, to boot, this seems like an experience worth replaying. I'm sure I played through the beta at least 4 times. It's gonna be $15 well spent.
man I wish I'd be on the beta - or maybe I don't
I just checked like 8 reviews at random and none of them said whether or not there is local co-op. I assume there is not?

would defeat the whole purpose of the experience they're trying to conveyI just checked like 8 reviews at random and none of them said whether or not there is local co-op. I assume there is not?

question:
is there an option for single/multiplayer on the title screen, or is it automatic if you are connected to PSN?
I hope it's automatic.
You just ruined a great part of the game for people.
