It's no surprise that you're giving this game an A+ given all your past posts, CowboyAstronaut, but please end shoving your opinion down peoples' throats.
The game is no A plus from that demo, but what it most definitely is, is a good game, that people are unfairly criticizing. Who can play that just now and claim this game is terrible or not worth anyone's time? I'm sorry, but that's as close to bs as we could ever hope to get.
It deserves just as much credit, if not more so, for what it's doing than games like Crackdown or Dead Rising get around here. The hate this game gets around here seems more about sticking it to Dyack than it is about actually being honest about the game.
How do games like Crackdown get away with the crap they get away with and receive the type of praise that they do, meanwhile a game like Too Human, while not the most awe inspiring thing we've laid eyes on this gen, but definitely a game that appears as good as the rest of the pack, isn't receiving the same level of respect?
Yes my past opinion on this game has been one that has been positive, but I've never held back in my criticisms either, but getting your hands on this game and trying it for yourself is really the difference maker and I know for a fact I'm not the only person that notices it.
Here is the kicker. There are actually people in here that aren't acknowledging how nicely handled the first flashback was when we got a glimpse of the hall of heroes with the odin statue, but yet some of the SAME people who are insulting every single aspect of this game now actually praised that scene on the way to heimdall's office the first time it was shown during Too Human's IGN re-unveiling. Why the sudden change?
An A+ would be a 95+ and up feeling. I didn't get that feeling from Too Human, but I got something that is in the mid to high 80s with potential to reach an A depending on how the story is handled and how good the gameplay feels later along with how much more rewarding the loot and customization will end up becoming.
I'm not expecting anyone to feel this is the greatest game they've ever played and I wouldn't say it's the greatest game I ever played, but it feels different than a lot of things we've been getting this gen or even on consoles and SK's execution of this seems very well done and isn't anywhere near the trainwreck that some are trying to make it seem like.
