I'd guess 75-85%

Yes, I'm crazy optimistic. And I'm almost always wrong :(

But hey, all our guesses are better than TLW's score (59/100 metcritic, 52% RT) so I guess we all expect it to be the best JP sequel, rite guys? :D

Speaking of which..

This makes me incredibly happy. My god I want to see one of those in person.

75% isn't too unreasonable, IMO. Anything over 80 would make me very happy (I mean, as far as RT scores go/matter :p)

Haha, yeah, I'd be happy if it ends up below JP1 but above the rest, in terms of quality :)

I can't say I disliked either one, though. I only have fond memories of seeing them the first time and I still enjoy them now.

It's too bad Jurassic Park 3 ruined the image of Spinosaurus by making it T. rex 2.0. I'd love to see a more modern reconstruction of the dinosaur done justice.

That's what baffles me, though. Hasn't that "design" been around even before JP3?

I didn't understand the whole excitment over the Spinosaurus being able to swim. I thought we already knew/assumed it could.

I dunno...

Just got this from imdb:

"Total Film tweeted a pic of a daft toy thing on a desk in their office. On the monitor you could clearly see the mock-up of their review for JW. Bit hard to read the text but you could clearly see the 2/5 star rating.

They deleted the pic within about a minute."

"Someone tweeted their review of Jurassic World yesterday saying that it beats Jurassic Park 3 but it pales in comparison to the first two films."

Well, considering I think TLW and JP3 are equally mediocre (I might even like JP3 a bit more since it's shorter, haha), I'll take that with a grain of salt. Still, that's some good sleuthing.

It was long known Spinosaurus was a fish-eater, but the new fossils and reconstruction show it was a dedicated swimmer, with webbed feet, small hips, and short legs to reduce drag.

Then you have some paleontologists suggesting Spinosaurus was a quadruped.

Another one:

"Empire just wrote on facebook they've seen it and the review is ready, they just can't publish till the 10th."

Stupid embargo, so I'm guessing it lifts on the 10th?

I've marked out on Delta because of pupils and being more bird-like (never read anything about the crest) but yet the movie seems to hardly differentiate them.

Trailer angle is more consistent with her position in the next shot in the clip.
Edit: or maybe not. They're both fairly inconsistent.

Pre-ordered the Lego game digitally. I'm pretty pumped.

Also, has anyone played the iOS game? Is it good? Is it like Operation Genesis?

Yeah, but being a quadruped theroy has been around since, like, the 70s, right?

I dunno. I guess it's just me. It just seems really obvious (but I guess nothing ever is, is it)? =\

How is there not a picture of this?

Still not sure who Delta is...I mean, look at the right raptor--looks like its crest is more pronounced, which is what I thought Delta had:

But no round pupils for any of them:

And for fun--the shot from the trailer:

Vs this clip:

None of the pics are loading for me, but Delta is the one we all think should be Delta.. it just seems they steered away from the round pupil despite initial intentions.

Maybe refresh the page--the "direct image" links I used from minus didn't work but I fixed them.

Yeah, I think the round pupil is gone. Even the LEGO toy mentions a gecko pupil...but the toy itself is the only one with a round pupil. Bummer, I loved the round pupil JP3 raptors.

Dammit, no idea what's going on with minus. Pics uploaded fine and I can see them. Here's the links:

Not that this means much, considering it's the world premiere, but that same person above tweeted and said there was a bunch of applause/cheering after the movie ended.

It may not end up being well received by the critics, but I think audiences are going to love the movie.

Holy crap, that's one hell of a collection!!!

That is seriously impressive. Can you hear me applauding you? I'm clapping really hard. It hurts.

Thanks guys, have been collecting for a very long time. Spent a lot of weekends when I was younger going to flea markets and yard sales- also got a lot of stuff around christmas in 97 for the Lost World. Have collected off and on over the years and it just grew and grew. Only recently got everything on shelves, it had been all boxed up in storage from a few moves. Next summer ill be working on a replica Jeep, so I might have to part ways with some of it.

Assuming the toys make as much money as we all hope, I wonder if Hasbro will experiment with a Chaos Effect like line in between films. The potential is there, and I could see it being a hit due to the I-Rex.

Although I just really want some 3 3/4" humans and vehicles, and more of the nicely detailed + articulated JP 2011 sculpts.
