Looks ok. I keep comparing it to the first movie, maybe I shouldnt, since I love the first movie so much.
Is there still a chance that we get a full trailer?
I don't think people want it to be bad, but I do think that some have built this impenetrable fortress that the movie had absolutely no chance of cracking regardless of its quality or direction. It's too bad that this wasn't about Jeff Goldblum going back to the island for some shitty, arbitrary reason yet again because Jeff Goldblum is what Jurassic Park is all about I guess.
I don't even know if it's that because, hell, I'd like to see Grant and Ellie there too, of course, but this movie looks cool and the concept is... wonderful. An up-to-now successful park with trained dinosaurs and genetically engineered "new" dinosaurs? That's both a fascinating and logical place to go with this series. Much more so than a JP remake.
I find it hilarious how people can't wrap their heads around the Raptors being trained/domesticated. They aren't like his pets, but even if they were the entire franchise has set them up as being super intelligent.I don't get the bike scene.
Are the raptors helping him out?
This actually kinda changed my opinion on the movie. They're going full-on dumb action movie instead of trying to actually make a picture with a meaning behind it, so it'll probably work out alright.
It's actually still about the main concepts in Jurassic Park. If anything the second and third movies are the dumb ones without anything to really say. This movie goes back to the concept of not having a full grasp over what they're doing in favor of trying to wow tourists and thinking they can control this stuff. And they actually are until the park attendance begins to decline so they make erratic decisions. It absolutely does have meanings and themes, but this was a short trailer to market the film. You're not going to get the meat of the entire story in it.
You might have a point if part of the premise wasn't taming raptors to be your special strike force.
That doesn't change the principals of what I'm saying. we still have very little context concerning the raptors and that's kind of important and impossible to logically use as an argument as we know close to nothing about it.
Well forgive me for not giving them the benefit of the doubt then, since (as you said) the last two movies were absolute garbage.
Not bad...

They used CGI on his right hand to do a hand signal to the raptor? It looks awful.

So they edit out the bridge from the first trailer, does that make those parts of trailer 1 totally worthless? As I assaume now those scenes would not make sense co dieting the bridge is gone.
Almost makes me think there's no point in early trailers if the cgi will change dramatically when it's released.
I'll see it anyway as I love JP and my kids are hyped as hell for this thing.
It looks incredibly stupid, but I'm still going to watch it.
