How many scenese are they going to lift from the first one? Sick dino, Gallimimus herd, big bad crushes glass to get to tasty kids?

Of course the best ones since there is no Jeff Goldblum and no evil raptors.

Wouldn't killing a huge dinosaur be like the easiest thing in the world? I mean, IR detector, helicopter, hell fire missile.

The raptors all have unique color schemes, just like the Ninja Turtles

I'm going to assume that because of this we can expect them to have a decently sized role in the film. As in, they needed them to look different so that you can tell them apart. It'll also help them move merchandise when kids will want "Jessica" the raptor instead of "Tony" the raptor because she did some awesome thing.

Looks like a fan fiction semi-remake for the young gamer generation used to everything being OTT and cool who saw JP on TV.

Nice use of music and Pratt is engaging actor but im just not really interested. Still looks like its been well put tigether and im sure its intended demographic will enjoy it.

Not bad...

That looks like a photoshop. I know, because I've seen quite a few photoshops in my days. I've counted the pixels, and it just doesn't add up.

I know it's fanmade

Yes, and its something that Gaf never seems to realize. As an example, these are from two different Guardians of the Galaxy trailers with the final version at the bottom.

Interesting, thanks. I'm willing to give ILM the benefit of the doubt. Those guys and girls do amazing work. Say what you will about the last Transformers movie and the recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but their CGI impressed the hell out of me.

Particularly the Turtles, not only how they were composited in but also the animation. Little subtle movements and weight/momentum to the characters looked great and helped to sell them.

I will agree with what someone said about the scenes seeming a little too bright/saturated. But I'm sure the finished product will look great.

It looks really, really dumb. Super Dino? Attack raptors? Rehash of the first movie, just with added tourists? Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb.

Day 1.

Looks like a Jimmy Fallon or Conan O Brian comedy appropriation of 'the look of terror' in an SNL skit. The kids in JP1 looked genuinely terrified when the Rex smashed through the roof.

As neorej said: they were in JP1. The window of the jeep was not suposed to give away, so when the T-Rex model accidentily smashed trough, those kids were scared shitless

I think the Raptors look fine. Check out the ones from JP1 again. They didn't age well. And the raptors in JP2 had the advantage that they had their part during nighttime.

The raptors in JP3 sucked big time. Hated that look.

I can get on board with this. Fucking bringing raptors back to life is totally fine but training them is beyond the realms of possibility here? C'mon folks.

Hereäs my two cents on the whole Pratt and Raptors.

We all know Raptors are pretty smart, what if they are letting themselves getting trained by Pratt and then strike at the last second, and by that I mean when they're out looking for that dinosaur they follow him and then lead him into a trap or leading him right to the new dinosaur who gobbles him the fuck up.

And they're capable of setting traps as seen in Jurassic Park 3 with The Green Mile dude.

You know if this happens they won't resist Pratt saying clever girl

At some point, you're just writing scaly humans with a raw meat fetish if you make them too smart. Besides, that sort of falls apart if you think about it at all. Why would they bother to lead him into a trap and not just, you know, eat him when he's just standing there or when his back is turned on the bike?

Sick of people whining about the CG, it's not unique to this film and filling pages and pages and pages of sarcy comments about how it looks like CG made for a TV show isn't going to suddenly make the CGI look the best in the world.

People moaning about how they are just using scenes from the first film, yeah no shit, this is a spiritual reboot. I'd rather have some homages to some iconic scenes from the first film rather than another JP3.

You have all these great dinosaurs so why make a fake one? And that one hunts for SPORT? So it's just a slasher movie with a dinosaur? Wasn't the whole meaning behind the first movie is respecting nature? Also it looks like he's teaming up with the raptors to fight the new dino...ok then.

JW seems to take a suprising lot of cues from JP3.

Better than the first trailer by quite a margin but still very apprehensive about it all. Still if it's better than the last 2 I suppose it would suffice...

"It's killing for sport!"

So basically the D-Rex is just a jerk? I kind of liked how the T-Rex in the original movie wasn't inherently evil, just a force of nature that man could not control. But no, there's gotta be good guy dinosaurs and bad guy dinosaurs and then maybe one of the raptors dies and everyone's sad blah blah blah

I think you have missed the point.

The whole reason Jurassic Park failed was mans hubris. Malcom said it best "Yeah, yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn’t stop to think if they should."

Hammond hired a kid out of university, Wu, who had lots to prove and he was using genetic engineering techniques pioneered by scientists over decades, he didn't have the discipline or respect for the power.

Hell they didn't even know what they were growing, Hammond amassed the amber and Wu just grew the DNA and could only tell what the animal was after it had hatched.

They were incredibly reckless and could have unleashed anything into the world, Wu was that ignorant he treated the animals like software, each successive generation had a version number, if something went wrong as it was growing or had grown he would tinker with the DNA and give it a new version number.

Wu went to Hammond with a plan to make Dinosaurs 'better than life', with the technology they could do anything, make them more brightly coloured to stand out more, make them slower and more docile by altering behaviours and Hammond said no because he wanted 'real' dinosaurs.

As for the 'killing for sport line', it's been a few years since I read the books but I'm sure that there is a few lines about the Raptors because they are lab grown they didn't have parents to learn behaviour from so are extremely erratic and end up killing for sport rather than because they were hungry.

So it's entirely possible that the hybrid dinosaur would have erratic behaviour because it is a mish mash of different DNA, the reasons why they created a new dinosaur are in the story, but if people want to read MASSIVE SPOILERS ABOUT JURASSIC WORLD
in the film the park is established, it gets thousands of visitors a day, numbers start to dwindle because dinosaurs are commonplace and people have seen them all. So Wu, having the mentality of wanting to make bigger and better dinosaurs in the book at least, proposes the idea of the hybrid and again because of their hubris they have no idea that the hybrid can camoflage so they think it has escaped, they go into the paddock to see how it got out and it breaks for the open door.

You're not big on opposing viewpoints on dinosaur popcorn flicks, huh?

I'm just passionate about it because it was literally my childhood, the film hit around the right time and it's the reason for my love of dinosaurs.

However, constructive criticism is fine, moaning about the CG page after page is not.

The irony is, the people here in the real world are hyped for the new Jurassic Park because they want to see dinosaurs on the big screen. More than 20 years later people still want that. Noone is like "Oh, they made up a hybrid? Awesome! Real dinosaurs bore me now, but a hybrid? In my veins." But somehow, in thw fictive world of Jurassic Park, people have grown tired of dinosaurs and want a hybrid? It feels off.
