I think she would, although it might also be a bit too simple/linear/obvious for her. I think a great deal of enjoyment also depends on how much one likes Sherlock Holmes (which turned a good detective game into one of the year's favourites for me).

Personally I don't mind if commentary suffers from it a bit. Maybe only talk in the menu when you can collect your thoughts and nothing distracts or something like that.
I just think, since you mentioned how you wanted to play the game for years and like the Japanese voices more and you seem so excited that it's not worth it to have a worse experience with the game.

It sounds like a matter of convenience, and since Dark Souls 3 will be on PC you're probably right. I think she might play it one day if she gets the opportunity, but for now I wouldn't hold my breath.

I really like her FFA series. I only played FF Legend back in the day, so it's cool seeing a playthrough of Adventure.

Looking forward to hearing her opinions on the various classes in combat and how she approaches the missions. I hope she doesn't get too hung up on the scoring system (which promotes the worst possible playstyle, imo). Man, blind playthroughs are just the best.

I tried to get into this game back when I was burnt out from vanilla XCOM and wanted to try something new but still in the same-ish genre.I noticed a shift after the first 5-6 maps and that the game actually favours rushing to the damn flags at all cost,totally ignoring the enemy instead of clearing maps and my mood was totally gone after that.
Fingers crossed she won't suffer the same fate,guess I should've read up more on the game before purchasing it,I went in expecting an anime XCOM basically.At least I'll get to see the story here finally,I heard people praise it.

Person in the youtube comments saying Kay is scout rushing in this video. Not exactly, though it's the starting idea. I still have faith she won't just resort to it over and over.

Also seems like she's learning the scout rush tactic in this episode. I think it's a tactic that gets more hate than it deserves. It's not quite the automatic win button it's usually presented as. You still need to figure out which enemy soldiers to take down to keep your scout safe, as the scouts are pretty vulnerable. And the story missions (not so much the skirmishes though) do a pretty good job of switching up the objectives or surprise you with stuff like reinforcements or other gimmicks to ensure it's not always a viable tactic.
I also like it thematically. As a pacifist I quite like the idea of effectively accomplishing the objective while minimizing the number of casualties on both sides. Also, presumably, surviving enemy combatants are taken as prisoners and are questioned for intel or exchanged for Gallian prisoners. They are worth more alive than dead, so it makes sense that the army/militia leadership would incentivize you to take more prisoners.
