Hot chicken or Nashville hot chicken is a spicy fried chicken made with cayenne pepper and usually served on top of white bread with pickle chips. Even though Nashville is the home of this epically spicy chicken dish, KFC is testing it first in their Pittsburgh locations. The dish should start popping up on menus nationwide soon.

According to KFC, their Nashville hot chicken is made with “a blend of cayenne-smoked paprika,” and delivers on being both spicy, and using authentic regional U.S. ingredients.

The Nashville hot chicken style will be available when you order KFC’s signature extra crispy breast, drumsticks, thighs, or tenders. Prices for meal combos with coleslaw and biscuits range from $5.49 for a one-piece breast basket to $29.99 for a 24-piece tenders tailgating platter.

Anyone in Nashville: the best Nashville chicken is Boltons, despite it being a run down little shop that kinda feels like imminent gun crime. Ahh, I miss Nashville :(

edit: also, there is no chance of this being any good seeing as there are some actual Nashville places that can't even do it right, and the fact that EVERY place in Nashville has an option of different spice levels probably means this is some basic-ass chicken with pickles.

It's got its own wikipedia page, a Nashville tradition.

Are you being sarcastic? Don't you live here?

Hattie B's, fool.
I've only been there once

We have like two things: country music and hot chicken

You take it off with your hands and eat it.
