I hope to GOD that the Steam version still has crossplay with W10 and Xbox One users.

DirectInput support please, have been waiting for years to play with my stick instead of controller.
Edit: Reading this thread, am I the only one who had no problems downloading the game off the W10 store? Just searched KI and pressed download... and you don't even need a launcher like steam to boot it I just type Killer Instinct in the menu bar and boot it.

Will pick it up. As long as it appears on an alternative to the Windows Store, I'm down with whatever. uPlay, Origin, GOG, Itch.io, Steam, you name it, but I've had such a fundamentally bad experience with the windows store that I just would rather play my games through another launcher.

So can we expect them to abandoned Windows store exclusivity? I imagine they aren't happy with how many people just ignore their store. Honestly I don't think at this point they expect us to buy into their garbage storefront.

I doubt it. The reason why it was locked to Win 10 only was because of the ties with the MS accounts I reckon.

It's F2P.
You have permanent access to Jago, while every week there's a rotating free character.
OR you could buy the Definitive Edition which contains "almost" all the characters for 40$.
Though I'll imagine they'll release a purchase option that includes everything when they release on steam.
Is that a thing, COD didn't work that way.
KI is a 2013 F2P game which had three seasons already and probably is receiving its last updates on the near future. Going to steam doesn't mean Microsoft is killing the W10 store at all (sadly). Having the option to send their games to steam after some time to see if they can reap a few more bucks was always a solution microsoft fancied.

Would prefer native support over external hooking like x360ce/steam controller. Also as another example my stick doesn't work in SF4 if I pass through steam controller.

Why would I buy anything from the store when I know it'll eventually hit Steam? It's probably going to get better support on Steam as well.
where can I play the original arcade version? Does the Xbox One version come with it?
