Haven't had the opportunity to try it out yet, but seeing as this is the same forum that bitched about RE5's controls I can't say I'm too concerned!

no amount of fiddling with the sensitivity settings makes it feel just right to me, but i've got it feeling decent enough.

I don't understand this complaint. The movement felt fine to me. You're a normal infantryman in combat gear carrying an automatic rifle and a sidearm, you're not Sonic.RPS37 said:Just pretend that your gun weighs 200 pounds and you're golden.
yea. if you've been playing the Call of Duty series, some things will feel very old.flipping_heck said:It is an awesome looking game but meh'd at the gameplay.. the shooting stuff is overall pretty standard affair nowadays i.e. YOU have to be the one use the rocket launcher, YOU are the only one to advance and mow down most of the foes and YOU are the only one that has to protect his friend while he is doing something else...
The Cover system is awesome though and the gameplay is very standard affair, but the graphics and immersion is immense.
Is there infinite spawn too?Dreams-Visions said:yea. if you've been playing the Call of Duty series, some things will feel very old.

Yes. It has the most familiar button functions I'm used to in console fps.revolverjgw said:Alternate 2 control

If there's a way to zoom in with the left trigger, gears style, then tell me. It's a bit too tankey for my tastes, RE5 tankey. Maybe I'll get used to it after a bit more playtime.
Graphics didn't really have the wow-effect on me anymore cause everything was spoiled by the retard-brigade spamming KZ2 gifs everywhere. Audio and menus are cool though, I like the effect going in and out of the menu during gameplay.

Not surprised though - this game isn't going to attract any casuals due to the weighty controls.

And when all his friends are playing he'll be a bit tempted.
Or you can blow up the bridge by simply shooting at the case of barrels with the assault rifle.Varna said:This wasn't the case for me at all. I never touched the rocket launcher and I mostly fumbled around with the aiming while the AI did all the work.
DrBo42 said:Exactly. How someone can go back to those titles (Resistance mostly) after playing KZ2 is beyond me. Probably the same guys I hate to hear on PSN. :lol
Sev's a midget. Wait till you meet the jolly green giant, I forget her name.Slackbladder said:How is it that when playing your character, Sev, he seems shorter than everyone else? Your eye level isn't the same as your allies. It's like you're firing from the hip all the time, even when looking down the sights.
Slackbladder said:Any chance the full game will have a custom controller option? Can't say I'm too fond of the options available. No toggle on crouch? I guess that's because it's also used to 'stick' to walls, right?
Still, it's a major, major irritation for me when game developers do not allow the player to customise the controller the way they want. It'd certainly help RE5 and KZ2 could benefit from that option.
I will say it looks very good and sounds very good too. Controls feels a little floaty though, as if I'm gliding on the ground. But it's smooth and pin-point accurate, especially down the sights.
Visually it's impressive though a tad grainy. I guess it creates an almost cinematic look.
But I have some complaints (mainly aesthetic).
How is it that when playing your character, Sev, he seems shorter than everyone else? Your eye level isn't the same as your allies. It's like you're firing from the hip all the time, even when looking down the sights.
And how is it they stand and run with their gun pointing down but yours doesn't?
And, my final niggling moan, when close to a wall why does the barrel of my rifle still point forward, creating an unpleasant illusion of passing through the wall? Other games have you raising the gun up when close to a wall to avoid that.
Oh, and I don't like the dark corners of the picture.
Apart from that, great! Definite buy.

because the gameplay is the same (ironsights, holding two weapon, a.i. partners) except slower, with less players, and no co op. Go back? why would I switch.DrBo42 said:Exactly. yeah this is how i did it the first couple times. i wish you couldn't just shoot it with a gun -- makes the whole objective less exciting.-viper- said:Or you can blow up the bridge by simply shooting at the case of barrels with the assault rifle.

No, I'm not. I've only played it once, but that was how the controls felt like. Sluggish, tankey. Maybe I'll get use to it, I don't know. With RE5 I have no desire to play it more though.Cruzader said:Really? REALLY?!...You must be joking.
