Wait, what? Do they have permission for this? :lol

It would seem so, actually:

Ask NeoGAF is a republished thread from popular gaming forum NeoGAF reprinted with express permission from the site. NeoGAF started as the forum for video game news site Gaming-Age, but in 2006 became a stand-alone site. It is home to a vibrant and well-versed community of game players, makers and journalists. way to generate content with minimal effort.

i have always quite fond of their otaku news, but it's increasing easy for me to stop reading their stuff.

If they're going to be doing this, this is the right way to do it - attribution, permission, linking back to the original thread, etc.

Tell them we prefer "GAF > Kotaku" rather than "NeoGAF Asks"

Indeed, and it really takes the teeth (and fun) out of ripping into this.

It is still really weird and lazy though.

If a gaffer didn't want their posts appearing on Kotaku, would that be an issue? Presumably the content of all of our posts belongs to NeoGAF.

In before "Damn must be a slow gaming news day" or the inevitable "Slowtaku".jpg post(s)

I'm a sorta long time member. Well, maybe not relatively speaking. But I don't really post or visit that much over here.

Just wanted to say Hi. I was the one who thought it might be neat to rerun some of NeoGAF's interesting questions on Kotaku. I reached out to EvilLore just to make sure he was OK with it before hand and to run the formatting by him. This is just a little experiment, so if it doesn't work out, or Gaffers hate the idea we can just stop it.

Anyway: Hi!

Now is that express written consent or implied oral consent? Evilore, you got some explainin' to do!

I'm holding out for more money.

Does this mean we're all game "journalists" now??

We've always been game journalists.

Left 4 Dead 2's hurricane is certainly a nice addition. The voice chat filter was a brilliant idea, and I was so confused at the fact that I could barely hear anyone.

haha thats what you get for making posts with effort in them.
It's actually scary, Chinner. I'm contemplating being more Chinner-like in my posting just so I don't risk ending up on Kotaku.
