I don't think Lies is their greatest work tho.. but it surely gets sung a lot by others. That Epik High song of yours is really catchy.

She was immediately tackled by Nicole & Jiyeon because they're friends from Heroes, and she was congratulated by more people on the stage than I've seen most anybody get congratulated. Everybody loves her. :D

My friend went back to Korea for the holidays and is bringing me back her album. :D
Said friend also has VIP tickets to a Brown Eyed Soul concert. I'm so jealous!

I think panda21 was asking about korean radio stations earlier...

There is a livestream of SBS Youngstreet presented by Super Junior's Heechul and KBS Kiss The Radio presented by Super Junior's Eunhyuk and Leeteuk. Both shows have kpop guests every day.

The stream is on 11-1pm GMT for Youngstreet and 1pm-3pm GMT for Kiss The Radio.

Stream here:

The schedules of both shows are here:

Man, Core Contents Media/Kim Kwang Soo forever confuses me.

They pretty much abandoned SeeYa and let Soomi bail out to Co-Ed but then he acts surprised when the two who left want to leave and is somehow hopeful that Yeonji will stay and have new members added yet again to continue SeeYa? Then the whole time you have Black Pearl barely known and getting no promotions, Davichi busy with acting projects for now and seemingly no album plans in the near future, and still they are planning to debut yet another girl group in May. WTF?

This is after Co-Ed had a highly confusing debut (between announcements and what happened) and T-ara's return was delayed 3 times because the two groups were trading songs in the background. T-ara is also somehow less famous than their own songs despite being the most overworked group in kpop. CCM has good music producers and gets good performers, but they really can't manage for shit.

ahh thank you!!!

all of the ones i found refused to stream on my computers for various reasons, a lot of them seem to use some weird windows only drm or something

seoul.fm and xam fm are the only ones i've ever got to work and those are just shuffling through a huge database of mp3s or something rather than being actual shows done by people.

what does it mean when they go mulamulamula?

i think i heard it in a few songs now but i dont know the korean vowel sounds well enough to know what they are actually saying

in one of the T-ara songs it sounds like they are saying

mula mula mula mulaeyo

and i'm pretty sure its in one of the popular SNSD songs too

SM gets treated by Cassies... I mean, has to revise contracts to be somewhat sane.
http://www.allkpop.com/2010/12/fair...s-sm-entertainment-to-revise-unfair-contracts

SM Entertainment received a firm order from the Fair Trade Commission to revise the unfair contracts which bind SNSD, Super Junior, SHINee, and many others to them.

On December 23rd, the Fair Trade Commission stated, “We gave them a warning to voluntarily correct the unfair exclusive contracts that their celebrities and trainees have signed. [SME] is to reduce all contract lengths by three years.”

This decision by the FTC was based off of a complaint made by TVXQ’s fanclub, Cassiopeia. The group alleged that SM Entertainment was using their status to pressure a disadvantaged (’slave’) contract onto TVXQ.

SM Entertainment’s violation, as disclosed by the FTC, lies in the unfair contract conditions. These conditions included forcing artists to sign on for a long period of time, an excessive penalty provision for breach of contract, and a one-sided scheduling of activities. There’s also a clause that allows SME to extend contracts for overseas activities without first consulting the artist in question.

According to the FTC, these contracts from SME would run ‘for 13 years starting from the day of signing‘ or ‘exceeding 10 years from the day of debut.’ In compliance with the FTC, however, SM Entertainment changed their contracts to ‘seven years from the day of debut.’

If the artists decided to terminate their contract prematurely, they were subject to heavy penalties. Artists were forced to pay three times the investment amount, plus two times the amount the artist was to have made during the entire length of the contract. In short, even though the contract was terminated, these artist would have to pay double the amount of money they would have made in ‘x’ years left.

Because of the FTC order, however, this was changed to artists now paying an average monthly sales of two years before the contract termination, multiplied by the number of months in the remaining period.

The entire clause allowing activities to be scheduled without the artist’s consent has also been removed. It has been replaced with, “All celebrities of SM Entertainment may include their opinion at any point and ask for the appropriate document copies regarding their career from SM. SM has the right to refuse should the request be unjust.”

This new revision is expected to make an influence on JYJ’s case as well.
Good to see. There has to be some sort of protection for the huge investment they make in training the performers, but those contracts were simply bonkers.

Really nice song, thanks for posting. Just bought this off Mnet. Anyone know how to officially write her name? Is it GA-IN, Ga-in or Gain? Trying to IDTag it, but the artist name ID3 tag is gibberish (the rest is okay). Tried to auto-tag it with Winamp, but got "The Prodigy - Baby's Got A Temper". :lol

That song is awesome. Fifth listening in a row! I do not like her new style theme, sure, she can have that style of make up and cloths but why does they have to make her look so miserable in every video and photo. Oh, well.

Also, i think this thread and the other should be merged into a master thread that eventually will get locked.

Nah, they shouldn't be merged. Pic and gif spams and hardcore oogling may understandably scare off some who want to talk about the music, plus it would clutter this thread to hell.

I now love "High High" and I also really like the GD&TOP tune Knock Out- M Countdown performance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAvyLPiDWh4

Lots of Christmas-versions and christmas songs at the music shows.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DO4USi7l48g&feature=player_embedded

Ya Ya Ya with terrible jingle bells etc. Cute performance anyhow! So very festive :)
:lol That mix is hilariously awful. They are really cute, though. Jiyeon especially looks much better with straight/flowy hair than the usual mess they give her. But seriously, Hyomin, Eunjung and Qri are all tied for my favorites now. T-ara performances are almost too much. Where is that rolleyesmiley when you need it...

Come on now, that is completely adorable! Especially since 4minute usually sticks to club music. Cutest english ever!

Then Younha sang her own version of "All I Want For Christmas"

Wow! She sounds like she moved to America as a child or something.

:lol those sound fun. internet here is too slow to watch though :(

i can't believe they have Kara, SNSD, 4minute, IU and miss A working on christmas day. i thought TV shows on christmas day were almost all just pre-recorded. madness

With the 2010 Christmas holiday drawing near, reporters took the time to research what the girl groups have got planned. Judging from the brief summary of schedules, it’s looking like it’s going to be quite the busy holiday for all!

–

“SNSD: Busy traveling between Korea and Japan”

SNSD will be spending Christmas Eve in Japan for the music programs, “Music Station” and “Super Live.” On Christmas Day, they’ll be returning to Korea to appear on MBC’s year-end show for “Show! Music Core.” Members Tiffany and Yuri will also be returning as guest MCs for the show.

–

“KARA: We’re even busier next year!”

KARA, who is currently leading the Hallyu wave alongside SNSD in Japan, will be running a similar schedule to SNSD’s. On Christmas Eve, the girls will be in Japan for “Music Station”, and will return to Korea on Christmas Day for MBC’s “Show! Music Core.” Goo Hara will also be attending KBS’s “Entertainment Awards” as an “Invincible Youth” member.

Starting January, the girls will be traveling between Japan on Mondays and Thursdays to film “URAKARA,” and will be in Korea on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

–

“4minute: Spending Christmas with Korean fans”

4minute, who has been away from their Korean fans due to their Japanese activities, will be spending Christmas with their fans.

While KARA and SNSD head off to Japan for the 23rd, 4minute will return to Korea on that day to participate in a Christmas tree decorating event. On the 24th, the girls will be appearing on KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank“, followed by MBC’s “Show! Music Core” on the 25th. They are also lined up for the gayo festivals on KBS, MBC, and SBS.

“IU: If only I had 10 bodies…”

IU’s schedule has been jam-packed ever since her return with “Good Day.” On the morning of the 24th, she’ll be recording for KBS’s “Music Bank”, followed by a radio appearance in the afternoon. Even later that night, she’ll be heading over to the public broadcast for MBC radio’s “Starry Night“, and then she’ll pop over to MBC Radio’s “Close Friend” straight afterwards.

On the actual day of Christmas, she’ll be rehearsing at “Music Core” in the morning before going to guest on 2AM’s concert. Finally, she’ll attend a celebratory performance stage on KBS’s “Entertainment Awards.”

“Wonder Girls, miss A: Spending Christmas with the JYP family”

The Wonder Girls and miss A will be spending Christmas together at the label’s “JYP Nation – Teamplay” concert on the 24th. On the 25th, miss A will be appearing on MBC’s “Show! Music Core”, while the Wonder Girls will spend a quiet Christmas without any schedules.

To be fair, people going to a concert on Christmas must be lonely mofos. They're doing a charity. :lol

Kara has found explosive popularity in Japan. They may have already gone double platinum? I haven't checked the new charts.

Thats considered a mini album? Some decent songs on there.

Curious as to what everyone's favorite overall album is? As in, what has the least amount of songs skipped? Mine is T-ara - Absolute First Album. I don't think I need to skip any, maybe one. So many good songs on here

Dice

Pokémon Parentage Conspiracy Theorist
No, it's not a mini. A mini has 3-7 original (not previously released or remixed) songs, and 7 is rare, and this has 9.

T-ara's Breaking Heart was my favorite (it's a repack, just a few songs on top of Absolute First) but Kara's Revolution always rivaled it and I think has surpassed it now. It seems that people who like T-ara's music will like Kara's music and vice-versa, which is funny because the members of the two groups are close and keep becoming better friends.
