When the PS2 launched you saw some games on DVD, and some were still released on old CD media. Obviously as the years have gone on you've seen more and more DVD games and less CD games.

Are there ANY PS2 games released today on CDs? If not, what was the last one?

Yes. Tons of the Simple 2000 games in Japan are still on CD, and they'll probably be around as long as the PS2 will.

Growlanser II is on a blue-backed CD. (I don't remember if Growlanser III is, though--I haven't played it yet, and didn't take it out of the case.)
