Yikes, and he's 42 years old. Never in my life have I used "AF" in a sentence, it's so painfully corny.
He's basically doing this

"Lawbreakers will be free to play. Just kidding"
"Lawbreakers will be PC exclusive BC controllers suck and console arent good enough. Just kidding."
Probably their inconsistent promoting & the fact that the game has a steep learning curve.
What are the numbers like for Quake atm?
"None of that 60 dollar multiplayer only bullshit"
Butchered how?

Well, they're 9 people away from that not being an issue.
The real battle royale. Can we expect a countdown to 1 in the upcoming days?

QC is still in early access. Meaning everyone on Steam paid $30 for it. QC is still in early access. Meaning everyone on Steam paid $30 for it. There are also people playing it from the Bnet launcher and those numbers aren't included.
Leagues? How will that work with a peak of below 100 people?
I honestly thought Raiders was going to be a traditional game with a campaign, but I misread that. While it does have "campaign" missions, it really is not a traditional campaign. I'm not sure I want to buy the remaining missions.
Thats exactly my point. Sales or marketing are a nonissue when you cant even keep 0.1% of your customers active after a month. My conclusion is: they simply dont enjoy playing Lawbreakers. So according to SteamSpy, about 75,000 people own this game.
That seems like more than enough to run a much healthier population, so presumably there's something people fundamentally don't like about the game - or at minimum its retention model - that isn't keeping them around.
Surely that's a glitch?
What would be the motivation for anyone to play it?
Ive not heard my friends talk about it. Ive not seen any marketing for it. It has not popped up in any of my regular YouTube subs. The only thing Ive heard about this game is how badly its doing. If my experience is a common one, that game is dead.
No, but the game would still be playable for those who purchased it.
It was MP-only.
More people are calling you out than there are playing Lawbreakers.
They raised the TTK by a significant degree to make it easier for new players to compete around when the free weekend dropped and none of the core fans liked it. The flow of the game changed
So in trying to gain more players the essentially dumped all their old ones.
Whats sad is even Quake Champions is doing a bit better and no ones talking about that game. Between everyone dumping on Cliffy for some reason (the industry is full of guys like him but gaf ans yt hate him particular because???) and everything else ppl seem dead set on wanting this to die.
Its a fun game, wasnt perfect but I had a good time with it. They just didnt know how to pivot and how to do it fast enough coupled with mean spirited internet shit its dead.
I've had a ton of fun with Lawbreakers, but I haven't played in a couple weeks. I've just been playing other games. I didn't like the health changes either. I also don't know why they're pushing out leagues now. I get that people want them but it doesn't make sense given the population. It truly is an excellent game though. It's sad to see it doing so poorly. I've played well over 500 matches and I'll be back when they release the last class.
I love Raiders of the Broken Planet and it's struggling too. It's only been out a few weeks. Another niche title overlooked in a year of great games.
There are more people playing video games in my house than Lawbreakers
1.4 was an attempt at bringing in casuals and unfortunately, it ruined the game for some of the biggest fans. My favorite character was butchered.

Pretty soon those "1v1 me bitch" players will get their wishI just hope that these 10 players are not toxic at least.

The gameplay was super generic and boring. The beta probably turned people off.
And some people argued that this played better than Quake Champions...
he made a dumb move. He made Gears of freakin War, most of his fans are still on Xbox, makes it PC/PS4 exclusive.

For context, it began here http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=839666Yeah, -MD- posted about it earlier. As for the GAF thing, we've had a... tumultuous relationship in the past.
Yup, bots missing from the game was my biggest complaint at launch. That and the tutorials.I would have bought it if it had LAN support and bots. I have to have some sort of guarantee I can play this in the long term.
