I think the reason why developers are having a hard time with the Wii is because it makes for a better pointer controller, rather than a true motion controller.

The games that uses the Wiimotes capabilities well, either use it as a pointer, or through hackjobs, attempt to simulate how it would feel like to control it with a true motion controller.

By creating true motion controllers, and with a decent software lineup to support it, I think Sony and MS can make Wii's controls seem very archiac and obsolete.

1:1 controls will allow developers to make all the cool games they can make.
