Let's List All Console Second Screen Experiences

The promise of second screen experiences was all the rage during the pre PS4 and XB1 launches and the Wii U has certainly embraced the idea via its gamepad. However, the prior two haven't actually delivered all that much and knowing which titles support it is difficult. So, I thought it might be nice to have a list of all the console games that support second screen experiences for anyone interested in trying it.

Just to clarify, I'm not talking about cross-console multiplayer. Nor am I referring to RemotePlay. I define a second screen experience as follows:

"When another (typically small) screened device such as a smartphone, tablet, portable games console, etc., provides a view, interface or even game mode into a console game that is unique from what is currently being displayed on the TV."

For example, when someone is playing a console game and they or a friend can have a second device connected via wireless or wire and it displays things like a map, an additional interface or even the ability to control another aspect of the game being played.

Anyone interested in contributing to this list? I'll update this post and the second as more come in.

In New Super Mario Bros. U you can have someone use the GamePad to stun enemies by tapping on them and add platforms to aid the player(s). This person isn't actually controlling a character.

Assassin's Creed Unity has a Windows Phone companion app.

Halo Reach could connect to Halo Waypoint (Windows Phone) to display a map.

Pac-Man VS on GameCube required a GBA to play.

Didn't Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut on the Wii U use the controller for inventory? I believe the PS3 version did too if you had a Vita (or PSP?), and the 360 with SmartGlass.

Also Class of Heroes 2G when it comes out in the West.

Tsk tsk no mention of the Dreamcast at all. As an example Code Veronica used the VMU to display the characters health.

What is that? Look more like an iOS game with second screen.

Pocketstation? (PsOne)
Can you cite specific examples?

Added.

I know right? THe game isn't even out yet. And also just because Ubisoft demoed it on stage doesn't mean jackshit until the final full release...
If they don't release it, I'll remove it.

Sonic racing transformed on Wii U lets you use the second screen when in multiplayer. Another player can take the television giving a total of 5 local players max.

You can do co-op the same way in Hyrule warriors I believe.

Both Assassin's Creed III and Assassin's Creed IV on Wii U use the controller's screen for the map, and allow the player to move the entire HUD to the second screen as well.

I remember there being some GBA mini-game Phantasy Star Online Ep1&2 had on the Gamecube.

Here's a GameFaqs link on how they were obtained: http://www.gamefaqs.com/gamecube/516243-phantasy-star-online-episode-i-and-ii/faqs/24028

There was:
* Chao Garden
* NiGHTS mini-game
* Chu Chu Rocket
* Puyo Pop

Maybe these don't necessarily count as second screen experiences? I feel like there was some way the NiGHTS game would let you unlock items in the main game or something.

Yeah, not really second screen because you can't do this while the game is playing.

A few extras for the Gamecube, courtesy of this Wikipedia article:

James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing (Co-op)
Madden NFL 2003 (Interactive scoreboard)
Mega Man X: Command Mission ("second screen" - no more info than that)
NASCAR Thunder 2003 (Manage data on the player's car)
Pokémon Colosseum (Private screen for issuing commands)
Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness (Private screen for issuing commands)
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (Map/radar)
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (Map/radar)

There are also a few where the descriptions given are a little ambiguous, and it's hard to say whether they're true second screen experiences or not:

Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex - "Enables a secret minigame."
Rayman 3 - "Allows the use of multiplayer in certain mini games."
Road Trip: The Arcade Edition - "Uses the GBA as a controller"
WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$! - "The GBA can be used as the controller"

Wow there's actually PS4 games with a Vita component? More games need to have a Vita app besides just phones. :/

1/3 of there the reason I bought a Vita. I thought for sure most games would use the "Second Screen" thing.

I think it's unique in that it's the only game to use this kind of connectivity.

Might be worth noting too that if you play The PS3 games on PS Now the second screen apps will not work (as they can't find the PS3 on the local network). Makes sense but the missus was a bit gutted she couldn't control aiden when I played Beyond.
