I build a fyre ass mame machine out of an old centipede arcade cabinet once I got out the navy a few years back. Very satisfied with the final product.

I have to side eye the controls and buttons and claiming that there's no market in the U.S. for them. There's three primary websites that we use in North America for arcade parts:

https://paradisearcadeshop.com/
https://www.focusattack.com/
https://arcadeshock.com/

Then there's the DIY and custom shops like https://marvelouscustoms.com/ and guys like Vicko Mods http://www.vickomods.com/ and Gummo http://www.gummowned.com/

Not to mention large companies like Razer, Qanba, Hori, etc that makes arcade sticks.

Anyway, looks like the parts used were either IL or Suzo/Happ. I hope he went with IL because Suzo/Happ went to a Chinese factory a few years back and the quality of their products dropped as a result.

Checking the website that Linus used, looks like the stuff Linus ordered was the generic buttons and joysticks.

Yeah, this was pretty absurd. I guess if you're only interested in RGB stuff it can get tricky(god why), but it's literally never been easier to get high quality "buttons and joysticks" than it is today.

Ultimarc to the rescue for many of these projects it seems. Great service from them when I needed it. I wonder if Linus got a coin door working on the cabinet. Looks fun tho, lightgun and trackball on the same cabinet is quite the undertaking.

Haven't finished the video yet but damn this makes me disappointed I never finished my barcade project I started. Don't know if I can find the time to finish or if I should just try and scrap the whole thing. Didn't make it very far.

Only started getting into Linus videos a couple weeks ago when I started watching Scrapyard Wars. Looking forward to this.

Dunno why he even ordered from the UK when there are quite a few options in NA. Could've just got them shipped within the US to Seattle, and they drive over to pick it up.

Even then, RGB push buttons aren't that uncommon.
