Little Mac Confirmed Playable For Smash Bros Wii U

My Direct experience this evening:

Sakurai strikes when you never expect him to. And I love him for it.

Surprised they actually made him "little," really wasn't expecting that.
Great production values on these trailers. Oh and the commentary is something (it has to be in the game, right?)
 
And my hype goes back down a bit, Mii does absolutely nothing for me and Pac Man ain't much better.

I'm kinda hyped for Mii being a playable character, if true. The fun of having a moveset you could customize should be evident, and if that's not how it plays out you still have the possibility of the Mii attacking with insane things like a trombone, frisbee, and bicycle. Sakurai and friends would have to be creatively bankrupt to not come up with a strong idea behind Mii inclusion if it happens.
 
Yo Little Mac! You did it! Good trailer, great music, not sure how I feel about his hulking out smash attack. Really hope there are some star punches in there somewhere.
 
Everything about this reveal was perfect and it breathes new life into the possibilities for the final roster. Little mac looks like he'll be hella fun to use. No amount of luke warm directs can kill the hype I have for this game.
 
That was great, but I don't know how I feel about that power meter that apparently gives you an instant KO attack (?) when charged.

Do you have a problem with Ike standing there charging his neutral B for ages and delivering a potential instant KO? It's not much different.
 
Alright I'm going to post what I'm seeing from the trailer.

1. Do Little Mac's speed look fast as if it's melee speed? It seem so fast for me when I watched the trailer.

2. I think he might have combo mechanism which would allow him to make few different moves from one special attack I noticed that he have two running attack so I wonder if he can use running + Side B or so.

3. I like how they are going to reuse Punch Out Wii U stage for 3DS stage since he don't have any game on handheld if I remembered correctly.

4. Look like you have to hold CHARGE for Instant KO, instead of building up bar. I would rather to building up the bar over charging for instant ko.

5. I'm hyped, and I can't stop watching trailer for like 8th time.
 
We need a high-res render of his model.

And high-res Koopalings from MK8.

Honestly, their inclusion in MK8 is just as amazing to me as Little Mac in SSB.
 
Well with Mega man and Little Mac I have two of the four newcomers I wanted. Now I just need Ridley and Palutena announced and for Ganondorf and Mewtwo to return.
 
That said, I didn't know he was charging it manually, I thought it was something that slowly charged automatically over time. If it's "stand still and charge for a long time", then it's not a problem whatsoever.

It's neither. In the Punch-Out games your meter builds as you string together attacks, and it goes down when you get hit. It will almost certainly work the same way here, forcing you to play aggressive and combo.

You won't be able to just sit back and hold a button to charge.
 
Not really, though Ike's neutral B is by no means an instant KO on low to moderate damage and it doesn't really travel horizontally either. This one does both. I'm not really judging the game at the moment though. I've only seen one scene of it being used and don't know the overall feel and speed of the gameplay. It's just something I'm going to keep an eye out for.
It's probably really easy to dodge and is situational and if it works like the games it will probably disappear or go down if he's hit
