This movie was mildly interesting minus the political jabs behind how awful we are as humans.
The flash drive at the end instantly made me hate the whole movie. Seriously.

The first part was decent-but by the time she got to Paris it was just ridiculous and lost any connection. Total overindulgence in nearly every aspect. How many scenes of high speed POV through the human body/neurons/brain did we need? Also she goes back and kills all the bad guys...except the main villian. Why? Just so he can show up later and kill more people.

That being said, Scarlett was great with what she had to do.

Manipulating the gravity of individual human beings not?.. The whole movie felt like a girl becomes god on a flashdrive. Stupid as fuck and cringeworthy every 4-5 seconds.

Those I just accept as Hollywood being entertaining. Definitely not feasible or remotely wow like but I can get it some. They had to give the impression she was all that and a basket of coolness. I just fail to see how this poor guy is going to pull off the truth of the world off a USB stick. God I hope it's USB 3.0 at least or his great grand kids can read what's on it.

Yeah me and friend were joking about it. "I hope he doesnt get the USB Device check stuff." - "Yeah that would need like 15 years or longer to complete until he has access to the stuff."

This movie was absolutely terrible. I wanted to walk out but given how short it was felt like I might as well stick around for the end.

Shit like the car chase... wtf was that bullshit. There was absolutely no tension. Even with her being all powerful they could have had the Korean mobsters working their way through the hospital to the room and have them arrive to find the whole police squad dead, to which her french partner could have shown some type of emotional impact or something. She obviously will win any battle, so their only chance for tension is to

God forbid he forgets to eject it and it gets corrupted! Though wonder what the storage limit is. He could just wipe it and have the biggest porn collection known to man on one flash.

This is the dumbest movie I've seen this year. I honestly thought nothing could top Divergent, but along came Lucy.

Movie was over the top and fun, I thought it was a good watch. If you take it seriously, you're doing it wrong

Oh, wow, yeah this was expected to bomb. That's easily three times the number some people were forecasting for this thing.

Reviews aren't bad (60% on RT) either.

Queue 50 posts with people being faux offended about the 10% thing. It's a science fiction movie. Let it go.
Science fiction is fiction that people know is fiction. This premise was chosen with the awareness that many (most?) people believe it is science fact (and this myth will be perpetuated). There's an important difference.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not 'faux offended' - doesn't really matter. These movies don't have to be responsible to anyone.

Also does the SJ stand for ScarJo?

I saw this movie while I was very drunk. The movie had a lot of awesome colors and visual shit in it, but it was still stupid as hell. Also, that dinosaur looked awful.

I rather enjoyed it. The last 15 minutes in particular. I am a sucker for transhumanism stuff though. Plus it sort of reminded me of Akira

Saw it earlier today, loved it!

I'd watch again in theaters.

People talking yang about Scarlett's acting abilities clearly haven't seen Under the Skin.

The latter obviously take it far too seriously.

Its just a really boring film that lacks any cohesion stylistically, memorable characters, or dramatic tension. It wasn't even that crazy given the resources they had, I wanted something much more off the wall. The script obviously sucked but it wasn't because of its heavy handed parts imo.

It did make me feel like Luc Bresson could do a live action Akira justice though.

The premise of this movie is wrong. Its a fact that humans don't only use 10% of their brain. When the premise is wrong than what's the point other than the random "cool" effects. Lucy is trying to be sorta serious but apparently no research actually went into the making of the movie.
