Didnt fergie once play park and rafael in the midfield over him during an injury crisis?

Wasnt really a slight on Pogba. We had Ferdinand and Giggs in central midfield at one point, and Rafael and Fabio in midfield vs Arsenal in a FA Cup match. Fergie was a bit of a madman in the later years.

Rooney will most likely still be the #10 in the first eleven so Pogba will be playing further back as an #8, in that position 10 goals and 10 assists would be a good season. What is ominous about Pogba is that most coaches don't think he will reach his peak for another three years.

I dont think Pogba will flop. ManU will flop . They just cant seem to get a level headed guy as a coach. Mourinho will turn out a huge mistake. Look at what he did with chelsea last season.

Let's make a bet, we both come back here at the end of the season. What you want to put on the line?

Sadness.T_T I thought Pogba will help Juve this year to reach UCL for Buffon at least here.T_T Especially when Juve had so many good signing already here.T_T

Guess money power is just too powerful to be ignored.T_T
Don't worry man, dybala wil lead us to Cardiff.

Okay.. Lets bet about CL.. If ManU wins the CL you win.. Oh wait they cant even compete because they couldnt reach CL

What about the coach.. Maybe we could make a CL bet on his former team? Whats ghat? That team fell even harder?

Pogba? No chance. The guy is pure class.

Man Utd? lol pls be excited. Mou will be first to crack and if he does so will the club.

Are we talking about the guy who completely failed last season?

Mourinho? Yeah. One season doesn't make all his talent disappear though. Just shows he's human and can make a lot of mistakes.

shhhhhh

his past 20+ trophies never happened since he flopped that one time

I mean this topic is based around one of Fergies biggest mistakes :P

Even the best can fuck up.

We basically paid Juventus a ridiculous babysitting fee to help mature Pogba. In some regards it might have been better for him as Moyes and Van Gaal developing Pogba? lol

Which will happen again. He is just too predictable at this point

And Louis Van Gaal didnt win a lot of trophies ? Whats your point?

I mean ManU at least made it to EL.. And barely missed CL. Chelsea was like bottom tear last season when Mou got fired

Mourinho done it in the Premier League, Van Gaal didn't.

Anyone who manages to kick Fergie down at least has some talent.

And Klopp near got Dortmund relegated, is he shit now because of one season.

You are making shit up based on one season, let's see what happens.

United expect to make £40m in commercial income from Pogba signing in first year
According to The Times, Pogba's 'marketing dividend' would cover more than a third of the £110m transfer deal.

Sources claim that United have asked to control 80% of Pogba's image rights, and a marketing strategy is already being put in place pairing him with another iconic figure, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

It is crazy how much money is in football these days.

How do these contacts work, is that per year for Pogba or that money all goes to his former club? What's he actually making.

basically football players have x year contracts with their clubs. if another clubs wants that player the football player cant just ignore that previous contract. thats why the other club can pay the current club some money so that all parties agree on the transfer.

what happened here is that manu chose to pay juve, who had some years left with pogba, a one time fee of 120 million euros and of course pogba has to agree with manu on their employment agreement too (which i hear will be around 12 million annually.)

That money goes to Juventus. Pogba's getting around £14m a year salary if the rumours are correct, plus performance-based bonuses, and probably a signing fee of a few million too.

It's a few years old but the BBC has a good article on the various payments and deals involved here.

Juve laughing to the bank.

Actually most fans are fuming because

1. Manchester United has not, nor will have for the foreseeable future, a bigger chance than Juve of winning the UCL. Therefore this is just for the money
2. His replacement seems to be an utterly generic and old inside forward (Matuidi), which is more money to his scumbag agent
3. He was the only player able of pulling tricks in the midfield, so as a result the overall quality took a dive

It's kinda like what happened when Juve got rid
he didn't help winning shit
of Zidane, except he was much older and the replacement was equally as good.

Willing to put my account on the line. Talk the talk, walk the walk.

Premier League winners.

Great that this almost finally done. Still need that RB and another CB though. Then we'll have a complete starting XI.

DDG
Valencia- Bailly - Smalling - Shaw

Carrick
Herrerra Pogba

Mikihatryan Martial
Ibrahimovic

And haters gonna hate, of course. As if your clubs don't have transfers and shit too? Kit sales and commercial opportunities will pay this off in no time. =)

Mourinho has already given back this club the swag that it lost when SAF left.

Rooney will be the biggest problem for Mou. I hope Rooney have to fight for the possition.

Juve have a stronger squad than last season largely down to this windfall. I don't see many Juve fans being upset/annoyed about it, as it's been inevitable for a while (could have left last season).

He's just 30, he can't be done that early. Let him fight for it for the sake of all the work he done for Manu.

He's been mostly poor for the last 2-3 seasons. Speed is gone, touch is gone. He's great though if you want someone to spray Hollywood balls out wide and get in the ref's face.

He's been playing professional football for what, about 14 years now? It takes it's toll and Rooney isn't exactly some sculpted Adonis.

He'll still have his moments, but if any other player had a seemingly God given right to start week in, week out they would too. I wish SAF had stayed on another year as he'd undoubtedly have been sold rather than being given a bumper new contract.

He has been playing first team football since 16, he has played more football at 30 than most, its the miles on the clock and not the age.

He gets paid handsomely by the club, we owe him nothing. He will be gone next season.

Watch him flop due to Yunaited shitty defense

Worst 10 ever for juve such a disrespect for the club

Shaw is great, as is Stalling and Bailly was brilliant today, defense is improving.

Either way, why would it impact his ability to play well? What an odd reasoning.

Worst 10 ever? Bitter much?

He gave Juve 4 great years, get over it.

To be fair. Juves foundation is called buffon, chiellini and bonucci

Pogba is a great player but he wasnt juves sole reason for success

Stay classy.

Maybe Juventus can afford to pay the judges as well now, not only the referees.

IF this deal is signed for this price then I can't help but wonder about the narrative between mou and fergie?
if pogba can prove he is worth the price tag then the banter ammo mou will have in the back room will be insane
if pogba fail to prove he is worth the price tag then the amount of ammo fregie will have in the back room will be akin to having a nuke

for me I think he is worth 35m
I didn't see anything from him worth more than that but who knows maybe he will evolve and go above and beyond with united and make this price tag worth it

and now for me to watch the fire works go off between mou and fergie

He'll be worth it for the jersey money alone.

He really wont. Clubs sell like 2m shirts a a year if they are lucky, and 90+% of the sale goes to Adidas. That's why they are paying us such stupidly high numbers per season for the rights.

As I've said before. Money is inconsequential to United. They make so much of it that they can happily afford to do this again and again if need be. It would take several years outside the top 4 consecutively for it to be a problem.

Pogba for £89m is a crazy amount of money, but then Chelsea thought Torres at £50m was a bargain while Pool sagely bought the mercurial Andy Carrol for £35m. You don't know if it's actually a waste for a few years.

Watford wouldn't sell Troy Deeney for £30m, Everton want £50m for Stones and £70m for Lukaku. The PL is mental even without oil barons, sugar daddies or crazy sponsorship.

Juventus paid £75million for an overweight 29 year old Higuain. They aren't laughing all the way to the bank.

Pogba is far better value and Juventus are losing out overall.

Disgusting fat shaming. Also, Higuain is 28.

I'm obviously not happy about Pogba leaving, but it is what it is. It's really, really hard to be pissed when your club has signed Higuain, Pjanic, Dani Alves, Benatia and Pjaca (watch out for this lad) in one summer.

Even without Pogba, Juve have a much better squad this season.
