There is quite a bit to cover between the point of the end of TSR -> End of the Novels, it slows down for the character development chapters but picks up super quick later, it can be easy to get lost. Honestly at this point I'm a little wary if they'd be able to even do an anime adaptation while doing the source material justice, would need to be 24+ episodes if they didn't cut any of the important stuff, which is pretty much everything after TSR.

Hmm.... Even though I'm thinking it could be done, this makes me want to read the novels. Last one I read was "A Dancing Very Merry Christmas," and that was only half of it; the most I could find translated at the time.

Because of the direction the story takes it's just needed to have a lot of stuff included otherwise towards the end things won't make sense or the story will have to go in a different direction to accommodate.

Minor Spoilers
Stuff like Sagara's Origins, Birth of Mithril, the different battles that take place, Sagara vs Amalgam, Whispered Origins, Sophia Origins, and eventually the ending
I missed some stuff in the list but it's a lot to animate.

All this talk of Bleach kinda makes me wanna pick it up again, stopped reading around when Aizen was getting sentenced and Ichika lost his powers. I think they were starting some wierd Hell Arc or something. Was just a tad bit boring, has it picked up since then?

The new arc has finally started to pick up as of about five chapters ago. I like it a lot actually.

To anyone who's read Kekkaishi, is it worth picking up? I don't know anything about it but I can put it in my queue after marathoning Beelzebub.

Its ok, nothing amazing but it isn't terrible either, it kinda drags a bit in the middle imo but it would probably not matter as much in a marathon.

Is Aizen the villain?

We don't know who the real villain is with certainty yet. But it seems like the villain is Aizen-like. Compared to the previous arc, this arc has a lot of mystery driving it.

Contrary to the buzz going around, It suffers from alot of dragging on in certain arcs, picking up, and then slacking again. Admittedly I guess it picks up from where I left off but I dropped it and that was like Chapter 205ish, expect alot of boring inbetween interesting.

When is Zoro going to use the sharingan he's hiding under there?

Jojo Part 6:
Odd, was not expecting Dio to have even more kids. I guess Gio may of been a one off that was more Jostar then Dio

Edit:

BS, it is a 2 hour drive max, traffic isn't that bad in Florida. They are even next to I-95!

One of the biggest... stupidity, perhaps?... in the world of One Piece is how Zoro can actually talk with his mouth holding a sword.

I think Oda actually addressed that in an SBS. Can't remember what he said though.

Oda just hasn't covered his stint as a ventriloquist when he was young.

Anyone here read The Breaker?

I didn't like part 1 because I wanted to see more of the main character's growth into a martial artist and less of his master's upper hax.

Now part 2 (New Waves) seems to be heading into this direction, the Shounen direction which we all love and hate.

Quite a few read it here, I just read it recently right when New Waves started coming out. Part 1 is leaps and bounds better than Part 2 right now though.

Those JoJo pages look so good. Art in the panels looks similar to what it's like for stuff like volume covers.
Yeah, I like the art in part 6 a lot, even though I was mostly pointing out things I found funny. The only thing I dislike about it is that it makes it hard to tell just what is going on when there is a lot of action.

It's in denouement mode. These last two chapters were
pretty sad
.

I've only started reading this manga over the past two years, but it's pretty interesting. There's battles in the manga but it's decidedly different in tone. Could it be due to the female author?

i expected its end a few months ago. last chapter confirmed it.
gens "revival" and the inclusion of all the characters that have appeared so far
was a nice touch, but an easy way to let people know its ending. i would like to know what happened to spike dude though.

Well, done with Part 6 of Jojo, now onto Steel Ball Run.

I wonder just how Steel Ball Run is going to relate to the original series, Part 6's "epilogue" didn't really flesh much out, more or less was "Everything is fine." Does it take place in the same Universe as the normal Universe, the one created at the end of Part 6, yet anther one?

Don't tell me Chouji is going to be the star of this battle. Is Kishimoto trolling us...? Who the fuck didn't want Shikamaru to be the one doing everything in this fight.

And him going butterfly mode doesn't have the same badass effect like it did if 1) he's not in the same conditions as he was in part 1 when he did it and 2) he doesn't become skinny chouji

Open Sesame is kind of mediocre. How the hell did it manage to go on for 20 volumes, when after 10 the bullshit excuse for the annoying relationship between the main character and the bitchy girl still hasn't been explained, not only to the reader, but to the protagonist as well.
Plus, he goes "I wonder why Mogami is always a bitch to me, maybe all those hints about knowing me in the past" and right after he is "I'm thinking too much, I have to train for boxing!", which makes it so dumb it hurts.

Shikamaru got his moment with Hidan. I am glad that Kishimoto is concentrating on minor characters. Choji definitely needs the spot light. I hope Ino does something important in this war, and not just communication shit.

Yotsuba and Bubbles

Love the ending and Yanda really is a freaking awesome troll.

Really looking forward to another arc with Ena, Muira, and Yotsuba, although I'm kind of wondering if Yotsuba is ever going to go to school since she's already five.

Well in that case I'm glad someone's interested in these folks getting screentime at this point. Chouji and Ino should've been a lot more involved in Kakuzu's death, and that was like years ago. He played an integral role in Asuma's death as well.

Kekkaishi:

Kekkaishi Manga to End in Japan on April 6.

I will marathon through this series once it's over.

Not too surprising considering how the manga has been going as of late story wise. At least it should be getting a proper wrap up vs a quick/rushed ending.

The series is one of the better long running shounen series IMO. It does suffer from slower paced arcs like others have mentioned, but it will probably be less noticeable if you're reading chapters back to back vs weekly.

That arc was specifically designed to make Shikamaru grow up. It was about how Shikamaru´s character would deal with the situation. We can see Shikamaru´s growth, when Shikamaru cheered up Naruto after the death of Jiraya. This time it is Choji´s and hopefully Ino´s turn to show their growth.
I also want to see Shino and Kiba fight.

It does make sense since we have seen these wings before. Choji probably ate some pill.

It's hard to remember when a character who barely gets that much panel time gets next to no panel for years, I still think it's silly that the natural power-up to growing oversized limbs is butterfly wings.
