Rebirth: The Lunatic Taker

This is exactly the kind of twisted supernatural survival betrayathon that is incredibly relevant to my interests. Bless this thread for introducing me to it.

Fairy Tail

"Stay close to Natsu, Lucy, he's stronger when his friends are near him!" ... Yeah, it's actually said... I know htat that's the motto of most shonen anime, this one most certainly included, but it's pretty funny when it's actually said. :)

Other than that, yeah, Hades is doomed. Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Gray, Wendy, AND the three Exceeds against him? He'll go down.

Overall, it's a very Fairy Tail chapter. Whether you like it or not depends on whether you like the series. I thought it was alright.

I just started reading this because of your post. I'm now on chapter 8 and I am only continuing it because I hope to see Reiji die a painful, painful death. Oh my god I do not like this character.

EDIT: Oh jeez, the more I go on, the less rewarding reading for spite feels.

Fairy Tail

So the only enemy is Hades, half the people went for him, and the reason Fried stays is for... defense?

Based on how Hodi acts in regards to blood transfusions and the fishmen who even signed peace signatures, I doubt he'd ever do this.
He may not know it was made by humans. It would provide a twist too.

Fairy Tail 242

I dont know if Im more entertained by the comments here about Fairy Tail or the chapter itself. Whoever was the one to state last week that it would be the usual three or such, was, surprisingly right! May kudos and encomium fall unto you. But people already packing up? lol. Come on, I imagine Mashima has something amazing planned for the Dark Mage who finally got up and in action, as well as Hades, bound to be one of the most memorable fights in the series. I know one thing, I cant wait. Now if only Gajeel gets in.

Possibly, but it still doesn't make sense for Big Mom to be behind the drugs. There's no benefit for her to be behind this. If anything, these theories would fit more with characters like Vegapunk or Doflamingo.

Naruto 546 finally caught up

I love how awesome Naruto has become even though he split off into shadow clones in his ninetails state. I do hope he can eventually resolve the issue of the ninetails hatred as was shown in a previous chapter. Regardless, with all these battles and war, it has truly risen, to me, to be a greater calamity in plot above that of the Pain arc. The generations of shinobi fighting and the most powerful retaining their personalities really brings out emotion such as sadness or even laughter. I cant wait for Kabuto's plot to gt back in focus and for this Gaara fight, hm, and if Sasuke decides to be partners with Suigetsu and Jugo again, Suigetsu is one of my favorite side characters in Shippuden.

I doubt they'd team up with Sasuke again. Even though he didn't show it, I'd say Suigetsu in particular actually cared about Karin and probably be pissed that Sasuke almost killed her.

So I haven't really been keeping up Yakitate!! Japan lately so I read the last couple of chapters released and when that girl showed up I immediately thought of that girl from Native Heart by Yukimi did anyone else? Anyone even know what I am talking about?

GE

lmao@the melodrama. He's literally skipping school to cry at some other chicks house? It's just a girl, man.

I mean, we knew it would go here since every shonen romance series does. It would have been hilariously trollerific if he was not actually being a mopey loser, but was just banging photogirl in revenge for Yuki having ridiculous amounts of baggage (whose name I don't know, and he assuredly isn't)

Natsu would faint from seeing a real man.

Natsu started crying when Gildartz went full power mode.

I'm assuming Zancrow actually died from Zeref's attack...I think he's only the second person that has actually died in FT so far (that Racer guy was killed by Ice Guy's suicide attack in the Nirvana arc)

Genshiken
Solid chapter, looking forward to next chapter with Madarame
Yotsuba
Always surprised at the level of detail

RRR 13

loving this manga so far, a beautiful heart warming tale of man becoming a manly boxing family man.

It would be amazing if he did sleep with her. At this point Mei (that's her name) has biggest chance to revoke his V-card out of all the other girls and she isn't shy about it one bit.

The main guy is fucking annoying...

Yeah, this whole manga has been one overly melodramatic snorefest, but this latest chapter just put a cap on the deal. There's no way that this thing can get any more pathetic.

I will go out on a limb and say it wont happen then :p

Being fair so far everyone seems batshit insane and awesome (except for the whiny bitch protagonist).

I guess everyone has an author or two they try to avoid if they can. After starting Happy!, I decided I'll avoid Urasawa whenever possible (but I'll finish Happy!).

Oh, ok.

But wait, even though everyone is saying that it's awesome, still avoiding it? Not even gonna try? Hmm

Okay, american yandere is even better than brocon yandere.

Well his taste seems really different from others here and he read other stuff from the author before that and didn't like it (Unbalance x Unbalance iirc) so i can see why.

Though i'm normally of the "give it a chance for a bit" mindset

his mangas have some good moments for shock value like punching girls in the face but his great at spiraling his stuff into shit and traping you in for the ride.

Its only at chapter 19 so the rollcaster hasn't reached the top yet to spiral downwards.

I read legend of (can't remember the name of it) and unbalance by him.

I might read anyways if I run out of stuff to rage about.

He doesn't like the author and from what I've read of it Rebirth is similar to all the other stuff the guy writes. It seems like a reasonable choice to me. I don't like the author either.

Yea i can see the same stuff he uses in Freezing LOL

Ikigami

Has anyone read this series? A friend of mine basically put it up on a pedastool and I was considering picking it up today.

Should be six volumes out right now. Really great. Kinda creepy and yet responsible.

See, this is only my second experience with this author (first being Unbalance x Unbalance which I didn't think was so bad) and now I'm wondering if "reading for lulz" is gonna backfire on me. From his other stuff, does he delve into "so bad it's funny" or is it gonna be a "why the fuck did I invest time into this" kinda deal?

*Tempers expectations accordingly*

I haven't read Yakitate!! Japan but Native Heart is cool. Sweet even.

Edit: Sorry for the double post.

ReBirth: The Lunatic Taker.

Freezing was horrible I stopped a the first chapters, but this has a very strong Mirai Nikki 2 presence: stupid main character that only whines, crazy yandere that protects him and a crazy game with psychos all over the place, so far so good

Ping Pong vol 2

That was one hell of a tourney. This Dragon dude is a monster. He destroyed Wenga. Also it looks like Peko might start taking shit seriously. Good stuff so far.

He does more than whine. I'd never even think to call him whiny, actually.

Sense volume 2 left me a bit disappointed.
While I really liked how every sexual encounter in the first volume were all played in the head of the teacher and not real, as it made for an interesting and somewhat different direction for this kind of stories, in the second volume it started to become too abused.
What I found annoying is that Makoto knows he'll start fantasizing, but always acts as if he isn't aware that he is doing it until he snaps back to reality, which I felt detracted from the storytelling in this volume (especially as a new character is introduced, in look only, at the end of the volume, delaying any formal introduction to the next volume) and, given that I actually like the story and what has been shown of the characters so far, I do feel let down somewhat, as there could have been more development and less zoning into lala land.
