Immortal Regis vol 1
This wasn't bad at all. Pleasing to the eye and enough action to draw me in. The death of the dude though reminded me a lot of Highschool DxD (since I saw the anime for that before reading this, I have no idea which came first nor I'm interested in checking). Thanks guys for convincing me to pick it up.
Sing Yesterday For Me vol 3
I liked Takako (Kinoshita's sister) which was introduced in this volume. Getting a job to help fund the club's movie, considering what happened to crow girl Haru in the past and the school's stance on it was a brave decision and it was cool that Shinako, this time, actually helped.
I don't really like Minato, so I keep hoping that Haru will be able to get with Riuko, one day in the future.
Detonation Island vol 10
Takashi got the beating he, imo, deserved, though he showed guts. Still what he did after wasn't really smart and even though he might feel he gave back what he received, he looked like a low life and nothing more, in my eyes.
Kumiko is still hanging around the Zeros, and I kind of like her. I wonder if she'll get together with Takashi's sidekick.
The whole trouble with the drunk yakuza dude is blowing up and I hope Shinji (smirk dude from the cover who got dragged into this) will be alright by the time Takashi and gang will go to his rescue.
Say I Love You vol 8
Loved this volume, what with Mei not turning away from the beauty competition at her school in order to face against Megumi. Seeing the whole thing was worth it and even the conclusion felt realistic in its own way.
Drifters vol 1
I expect awesome stuff from Kohta Hirano, but I admit I wasn't ready for this first volume. Bloody, violent and fucking cool.
Toyohisa is a great protagonist for my standards and I love the other two drifters that are with him. I expect big things from Oda Nobunaga, given what they have done in just 1 volume.
The only disappointing thing is that Jeanne d'Arc is on the enemy's team. I love Jeanne =(
Qwaser of Stigmata vol 12
Good battles, lots of tits, a couple enraging moments. Basically the usual stuff one would expect from a volume of Qwaser.
Sasha's trick to defeat Nami made him look like a badass (not like it was really needed but hey!), though the end result wasn't exactly as planned.
End of volume is what made me rage a bit... and now to wait for vol 13.
Space Brothers vol 13
Mutta's flight training was crazy. As usual, he got the type of weird instructor that only certain people could put up with and thanks to that there were some nice scenes and exchanges.
Seeing the two brothers doing the same things for Sharon was heart warming.
The bicycle scene was hilarious.
Beads Club
As I'd expect from Kyousuke Motomi, this was funny, with silly faces and moments of badassery. The fact it's a single volume also works in its favor, given that the whole love story goes full steam ahead with no waste of time.
Love Button vol 2
Eito's sadistic side makes the interactions with Nina funny, though the best part of the volume is Nina's sister Aoi, which had me fooled too until Eito blew her cover in front of Nina. Seeing Aoi's embarrassed face was great.
Toraneko Folklore vol 1
I like this.
Toto is an interesting main character, or rather, a main character I can like. He looks scary and the way he behaves instills fear into the people around him, but he's actually a nice dude who wants to make some friends now that he's got into a new school.
The two people he ends up befriending (not before scaring them shitless on the first day of school) ends up getting him involved in some dangerous fights, as the school he enrolled in seems to have some troubling mysteries.
There are only two fights in the first volume, and the action in them wasn't anything special, but I liked the interaction between the characters and Toto, as I wrote before, is a type of MC I like, so I'm interested in reading volume 2.
