I mean I imagine Nodame was good mostly cause it had actual music to go along with it.

Oh man I loved this battle. I loved all of the battles in that arc. It was great!
(caught up spoilers)
How many years has it been since we've gotten proper 1v1s? Thriller Bark? Even then I think only Zoro, Usopp and Sanji got one. Man... :(

That's a good question, not since Fishman Island. I thought of Vergo but that was like 3v1...I think this arc will have some. Pretty much only Luffy gets 1v1's.

Annarasumanara 11-27 and overall thoughts

The slow start develops into a good middle and ending. Glad to see the neck die.


While the author used them having a long neck..I guess as thinking of being above everyone else?, it was pretty weird to see and threw me off a bit. I enjoyed the progression of the main characters and the stylistic choices were acceptable I guess. I like that webcomics have color and taking away one of the general benefits of your medium seems to me like a bad thing unless you can capitalize on the specific moments or things you decide to use it on. Annarasumanara uses it in the moments I would expect it to so the choice not to use color is fine.

It was a nice, short read.

That was a nice start, informative but not too overwhelming introduction of the setting and characters. The art is decent too so I'l stay on board with this.

Mito = meat
Nikumi = pun on Japanese word for meat + her name, "Ikumi"

I love how Tosh added a woman in the the background straddling the cannon for no reason.

I think I've read this before somewhere, maybe it's just because it's pretty tropey, a guy summons a witch as a joke, and if she fulfils his wish, he forfeits his life, only she doesn't successfully kill him so her witches license is revoked. Rurumo can grant Shibaki(the MC)'s wishes as long as he uses some of his 666 magic tickets, once he uses all of them, he dies and she gets her witches license back, but she doesn't know about the first part because her familiar is keeping it from her (a talking cat).

Oh, and Shibaki has a Yandere/ maybe just psychotic mother.

Yep.

The magazines are going harder on the censorship as of late, i guess its due to that law stuff.

Bakuman's main character is a dullard, and the series is propaganda for Japanese employers trying to convince their workers that they should live for their job alone.

Also, it sucks.
