I wonder if there will be fake nazi drama and lesbians this season. lol
The Hollywood Reporter said:Manhattan returns to WGN America on Tuesday (October 13) for its second season and it hasn't made one of those leaps that might cause critics to yell into the void that this is a classic drama that viewers are missing out on, but it still features a superb and growing ensemble cast, a textured commitment to period detail, the smooth execution of some of TV's best directors and the looming potential of atomic detonation to give it all some dramatic juice.
Mo Ryan said:In the first four episodes of Manhattans second season, the atomic-age drama contains quite a bit of fruitful conflict and meaty character development, all of which amp up the shows energy level and move it into much more compelling territory.
Damnation Memoriae
In the Season 2 premiere, Charlie is forced into a new leadership role in the race to build the world's first atomic bomb.
Season premiere tonight!
This is a very smart show about incredibly smart people, and it's only gotten better as it's gone along.
These people act about as smart as people on The Walking Dead. lol
The premiere was solid - about on par with the first season, but with the added hook of the flashforward, which was great because it revealed that the team will complete the atomic bomb by the end of the season. I wonder though - if the bomb gets completed this season, is there still a compelling premise left for season 3?
I was thinking about the same thing last night. So we know we'll probably get within 21 days of the bomb being dropped by the end of this season. I guess that gives them a little to work with next season, and maybe the fallout (pun intended) of what happens with these scientists after? Maybe post war? I'm interested to see where they go with it.
Fatherland
Frank discovers the real reason he has been taken captive.
I thought that was a strong episode, despite seeing Justin Kirk's doublecross coming from a mile away.

The Threshold
Liza confronts Darrow; Abby discovers a secret about Oppenheimer.
What do you guys think about Einstein appearing?
the thing with Oppenheimer poisoning an apple is actually based on a real event
Wow, Abby...
holy shit!
I think the best part of this show is that it's so insane that the thing with Oppenheimer poisoning an apple is actually based on a real event but is so unbelievable because of everything else going on in the show.
The World of Tomorrow
Frank attempts to navigate his new place on the Hill.

The scientists and the Army battle for control of the bomb.
New episode tonight:
I liked how they jumped ahead in time 6 months in Episode 5. Very unexpected, I thought they'd be stretching out the coming year for the entire season.
Tickling the dragon's tail.

The idea of radiation poisoning makes me feel ill just thinking about it. The idea of an invisible silent killer is just terrifying.
Behold the Lord High Executioner
The hunt for a Soviet spy turns deadly.
