I'm biased for a 3DSXL with full 3-D movie support, though. :p

Sonys wording is very clever. They no longer just combine all the various game consoles for the playstation family. Now its Consoles and Accessories.

Xbox 360 was the number one console in the U.S. in March 2011, based on console and software sales, as well as ongoing demand for Kinect, the fastest selling consumer electronics device in 60 days.

March NPD highlights include*:

Xbox 360 sold 433,000 units in March, maintaining the number one console spot in the U.S.
Xbox 360 console sales were up 28 percent year over year, the largest growth of any current generation console on the market.
Total retail spend on Xbox 360 platform (hardware, software and accessories) reached $457 million, still the highest among current generation consoles.
During the month of March, four of the top ten console game titles were for Xbox 360 including: Homefront, Dragon Age II, Crysis 2,and Call of Duty: Black Ops.

We expect this momentum to continue throughout 2011. In the coming months, Xbox 360 owners can look forward to the arrival of Kinect-enabled Hulu Plus, as well as a diverse catalog of new games.

New NPD world. PS3 is included. No, can't post the number, and therefore, no numbers are posted in the rankings. Unit rankings do not show if two people were actually tied. It's just a counter from Rank 1 to 75. Points is the same way. Now, points are actually being kept up with behind the scenes, but they're just not shown here. As previously planned, the annual rankings now only use the top two months from the first three for the year. The top n-1 months will be used until September, when it'll be the top n-2 months. The full year will be based on the top n-2 months, as planned. A range for PS3 was already posted in the Gamasutra article thread based on "5-10% growth in Q1" for PS3. You can see that here.

Hopefully, we'll get all the systems next month, and numbers can be shown again. :D

I was about to ask if there was some sneaky way i could post the ps3 number for the month without getting banned or GAF into trouble but this works as well :D

I cant imagine you would be banned. The method for deducing the PS3 numbers are simple mathematics though you could PM a mod to be safe

Well there is deducing them to within a range and then there is just knowing them ;)

this keeps getting worse with NPD being dicks.

also, i guess people didn't take into account that 3DS was sold for like 5 days vs the DS' full month. i know i fell for it.
