That gamepad is disgusting
A lot of people have been playing the WiiU.

It's a demo. That happens with pretty much every game.
wait theres a review out? Those camera movements/details on MKTV mentioned on the EDGE review are pretty impressive!
eh, it's always "to [console here] limits"Argh.
Didn't Nintendo release Wind Waker HD like one week earlier on the eShop before the retail version?

"DK fur glistens after being in water."
Expand glistening dong.
It was 2 or 3 if I remember correctly. Press has review codes, so I don't get why they don't do digital launches more often.
I thought he was referring to the same thing too but then I read it again and I think he's actually bothered by the fact that they wrote "it's" when it was supposed to be "its"eh, it's always "to [console here] limits"
How does this game look so good.

Nintendo are masters of their own hardware/engines.

It is! Not online yet but on the EDGE physical magazine. It got a 9! Some guys with the magazine have been kind to share some of the highlights on the review a few pages back on this thread![]()

The online was lagless atleast when I used to play it. It was great. Shit game tho.
The graphics were not that bad considering what it was achieving.
The IGN Nintendo Voice Chat podcast is heaping glowing praise onto this game. They all love it.

That was Double Dash, right?
TheGreatMightyPoo said:I'm guessing a 9.7.
The best game in the series, and it got robbed at most outlets. IIRC, Gamespot and EDGE weren't too kind on it either.Yep. And entirely undeserved.
Battle mode has always sucked since the N64 days. At this point, I actually wish they take it out or just use retro courses.
It was mostly trying to be Double Dash with added visual effects so... I guess they got that much right?
Yep. And entirely undeserved.

Sounds in the ballpark from how they were talking about it. The only thing they lamented was the continued degeneration of battle mode.
As much as I love Battle Mode, I'm used to them not taking it too seriously nowadays.
It doesn't bother me TOO much.
I downloaded Mario Kart 64 just for the Battle Mode not too far back and I don't even have many people to play against like I used to(I liked that mode THAT much).
I'm back to enjoying racing though which is why I loved the series in the first place.
I'd be all over Battle Mode DLC but while I think DLC is a strong possibility, I don't necessarily think Battle Mode DLC is.
With all this said, I wonder how the yet-again disappointing Battle Mode will affect reviews.
Not that I care as I and most will get the game anyway but will they dock points for it???
If I was a reviewer, I'd mention it being kind of shitty but the main course is still the racing so I don't think it'd affect my opinion too much.
The Double Dash 7.9 always bugged me. The game was easily a flat 8/10 if not better based on the fun factor alone. Then again, that was just my brother and I having an absolute blast day in and day out, ending up playing the game probably more than any other MK thus far.The IGN Nintendo Voice Chat podcast is heaping glowing praise onto this game. At 60 fps.

It's just a score but yeah, a younger me was a bit baffled to see an MK game get a score that wasn't really high.
Did Double Dash not run at 60FPS?
At 60 fps.
...Double Dash already ran at 60FPS?
In fact it was 60 FPS for more than two players, which was more than MKWii could handle.
The Wii ran at 60 too with 12 racers.

Block Fort and Triple Decker were god-tier, get out of here. And as I recall, some of the portable ones had decent battle modes as well.
