Great timing, top of the page. Too bad nobody watches this (or bothers to comment about it?). But it is what it is. I'm in for season 2.

Does anyone know why didn't pair it with You're the Worst like they did last year? I noticed that's coming back in september.

I've never heard of this but want to watch for Judy Greer. Anyone know a good place to catch up on Season 1 legally in the UK and perhaps watch Season 2?

I doubt I'll be bumping this every week, but just wanted to note that the season premiere is tonight:
Thanksgiving

Lina and Russ throw a surprise Thanksgiving; Jess and AJ decide it's best to pretend that they don't know each other.

Also, Judy Greer did an interview with Grantland. The parts on Married:
In addition to seeking out bigger movies, are there other criteria that you look for in a role now?

I’m probably now more interested in the people I’m working with. I’m looking to just sort of work with cool, interesting people — people I think I could learn from and people that kind of make it worth being away from my family.

I’ve done a lot of the mom-wife, like the weepy mom-wife, so I’m looking to maybe do the bitchy or strong or different fate of a mom-wife.

Lina from Married is definitely not weepy.

Yeah, no. I love her and I love how weird and tough she is.

What is it like to work on that show, particularly after coming back from these bigger movies?

It’s kind of like hanging out with your closest friends. That’s what Married feels like, because it’s so intimate and there’s nowhere for us to ever go except to hang out with each other. For 15 hours a day, it’s me and Nat Faxon [who plays her husband on the show]. Sometimes when we get lucky, Brett Gelman and Sarah Burns will be there. It’s very cool. It’s very family-like. We fight and bicker and complain and have to share a bathroom. I feel like we’re all at camp.

We’re all on location. We don’t have a stage. It can be a little bit more difficult for the crew sometimes, which I feel bad about. You know, when you have a stage you can take a wall out and you can set up more. On our location, we’re so packed in there. We can’t park our trucks out front, so there’s like a lot of vans circling. A lot of logistics. We don’t have any trailers to go to ever, so they rented us this Winnebago from the late ’80s, early ’90s that we can fit in. It’s like literally called the Jamboree, and it’s a motor home, like old-school.

That sounds fun, actually. That sounds like an actual camp.

It does, it totally does.

I will try and post at least something every week. Maybe we'll get some more folks in here. It's doing more pages than Turn for what it's worth

yay more judy greer on mah tv.

sidenote: from the couple commercials i saw did they age the older daughter compared to S1 or is it just simply they both grew up or something? i thought they were pretty young and now getting the dress like an "escort" jokes seemed weird

Thought it was a fun comeback, though a bit heavy themed with the dementia thing going on. I'm ready for more.

Time to check out that new comedy from FX now.

Judy tryna swagger jack the baby sitter, that was funny

Ha-ha the babysitters bitchy friends face lol.

It might be good that jenny slate is in this a little less this year, though I don't dislike her characters role, the show is at its best when its about faxon n greer

Yeah this one was really good. I loved pretty much every joke with the sandwiches. Russ and Lina realizing how happy they were with who they married was rather nice. And I loved Russ and the stepson just hauling ass out of the garage... haha. Good stuff.

Lina's realization in the graveyard was really sweet.

I'm happy the show is back, but I think this third ep of s2 was stronger than the first two. Sometimes I wish I didn't know about Jenny Slate getting her own show, which (if I remember right) was frequently also reported along with her taking a smaller role in this one, such that every time I see her here I think this will be the episode she's written out.

Why is he celibate again?
Don't really remember. It might not have been explicitly said? It might have followed on from his rehab thing from the end of last season. Similarly, Russ' new job wasn't really introduced before this episode.

Do you guys think that Judy Greer typecasted as the realistic wife? Not only in TV, but in movies too?

Is her character Cheryl Tunt on Archer or Kitty Sanchez on Arrested Development considered a realistic wife character? If so, damn, let me meet some of them! :-D

She's just been in a few movies this summer playing that role (JPW, Tomorrowland, Ant-Man). Barely above cameos for the most part.

Also this show has been kinda great this season so far. Really enjoying it, a little surprised by that.

You left out her character on Californication. And yeah, I'd love to meet all of them.

Damn, Martin Starr was fucking great. I didn't murder anything, except for that pussy. Only he can deliver such lines so perfect :lol

Also have to say it was refreshing to see Lina and Russ enjoy each other in bed for a change. Instead of their constant state of depression. Judy Greer man

I also like Kimiko Glenn as a newcomer to the series cast for this season. They should do more with Russ his work.

This latest episode didn't do much for me. Not as good as the last few. Starr was definitely a great fit for that role though. I'd also agree that more Kimiko Glenn would be good. Her and Russ make a fun pairing.

"And there ain't nothing wrong with that ass."

It's nice that they're continuing to expand the supporting cast with more friends, acquaintances, and family members since Jenny Slate is disappearing. Depending on how that's ultimately handled, we might get even less Paul Reiser than as it stands now.

Sometimes I'm really depressed that I relate so closely to shows like this or Togetherness considering I'm significantly younger than their characters, unmarried, and childless. That's not right.
