Watching ep1 the lead actor who's plays Danny's I'm not feeling it maybe a few eps in I might, hopefully
Not gonna go by reviews as I watch everything DC & Marvel so we'll see how it goes
Yeah another superhero orphan lol
I'm moderately confident that Melinda May would *body* Danny.
The Immortal Weapon everybodyHe couldn't take this random jobber, so yea May would hand him his own ass.
Also the fight in that clip has 56 camera cuts in 35 seconds.
He should've had the costume at some point in this, they should've thrown in Luke or Daredevil to help him out at some point for a few tag team episodes

I have come to the conclusion that this series is about a rich kid who survived a plane crash, has ptsd and his quest to overcome erectile disfunction.
i'm laughing but it's so odd how much Iron Fist deviates from the Netflix Marvel mold. Unlike DD, JJ and LK, the Iron Fist is not an origin story. How hard would it have been to do one flashback episode properly grounding Danny's experiences and motivations?! FFS Elektra in DD season 2 was given a more in depth origin portrayal than Danny
TBH Danny getting beat easily is true to comics he is not the best iron fist or immortal weapon
I fucking hate this show. Not for any good quality reasons but because I have a smart TV so Netflix runs without another device attached to it. Anyway, I watched a few episodes of this "show" in 4k and now whenever I use my TV to use my computer, it's all scaled up to 4k causing videos to constantly buffer and Twitch to suffer at source quality.
Iron Fist hurt me in more ways than the bad writing.
Also... if anyone could help me out a bit about this piece of writing:
Don't x-rays, ya know, get stored in a computer somewhere after being taken and the physical copy is for medical files but there's always one stored electronically they can pull? Couldn't that be requested from the hospital?
Maybe though idk

I find it the disparity about the Hand in DD2 compared to be the Hand in Iron Fist to be daunting.I'd mostly agree with this, except I thought the second half of DD S2 was worse than IF, and I thought JJ was overall slightly better than DD S1

in DD2, they seemed more lethal and dangerous.
in IF, they seemed like meh making them less dangerous
I'm prepared to accept that as due to Danny being a better in universe fighter than Matt is, even though extrinisc factors like choreography and level of actor training dont support that

Oye. That e8fight was laughable bad.drunken fist
.
Daredevil S1
Jessica Jones S1
Agents of SHIELD S2
Agent Carter S2
Daredevil S2
Luke Cage S1
Iron Fist S1
Agent Carter S1
Agents of SHIELD S3
Agents of SHIELD S1
The budget on this seems like it was *incredibly* low compared to the others, they probably couldn't figure out any way to portray K'un-Lun.
.
I dont think Iron Fist is a better show than Luke Cage... but I finished IF, and Ive yet to finish Cage (Im on ep 8 IIRC), does that make sense? :/
I have a feeling Mack could beat the shit out of Danny.
I don't really agree with the incredibly tough criticisms of this show. It has problems, with Danny being a less than convincing fighter being one. But some of it has become way too overblown.
Harold and Ward save the show

his acting in the beginning was straight up emotionless though. yes his character does start to get more interesting and we get a better performance out of it but overall the acting was not great. not for him, anyway.I thought Ward's acting was fine for the character really, when you consider his personality and his problems. Especially (mid-late season spoilers)during his more psycho parts after overdosing then detoxing/killing his dad for the first time.
Fundamentally I think it's more of a writing problem more than anything.
Music was good in of itself. But it's unfortunate the music didn't have a greater impact aside from being good songs. In Luke Cage the music almost went with the cinematography.
Guess the Outkast song could be an oxymoron!
Double Toasted Review is up!
Is Harold dead for good or what?
Well, (end of show spoiler)he gets cremated which would put wolverines healing factor to shame if he comes back from that

How the fuck is Madame Gao a part of The Hand? It was never implied that she was part of it. And I thought The Hand was strictly Japanese? Why would The Chinese want to be part of it? And I just realized that Davos is the Steele Serpent in the comics, which is what Gao calls her heroin and is the symbol that Davos uses as Steele Serpent. Is Harold dead for good or what?
Enjoyed it, and I actually liked the last few episodes a lot. So yeah, I'm good. Defenders, bring it on.
I also really liked Ward, his actor is great.
Series Spoilers
I figured The Hand was just a global cabal of evil people who like doing evil stuff. Nobu had his own shit with ninjas while Gao has her drug trade. I mean Bakuto is part of a South American branch, though I guess there's a throughline with Brazil having a significant Japanese community.
And yea, the Harold stuff was weird. They made a big deal about finding out how to actually kill him for good and then it's never actually used? Seems like such a waste to not have a good decapitation shot, even a goofy one where Danny punches off his head. I would say it's because they're teasing his return but then they had a scene about his cremation. But then they never actually show his burning body, so maybe it was just a body double and he's reviving elsewhere, who knows. I was kinda expecting that he would revive mid cremation when they had that zoom in shot to the fires.
When did they imply that Bokuto was from South America? I know that The Hand is international in the comics but they're strictly on some ninja shit. I would of liked it if they kept it that way. Especially when they fucking went all out with it n DD S2. I also don't like how they tied Colleen to The Hand. In the comics, she actually leads them for a while.
Forgot what episode but Joy was talking about how Bakuto was moving all the funds from Gao's account into his own accounts in South America.
That doesn't mean he's from there, he might just be using some country to store his money, think Cayman Islands
