Game looks great. In this setting, raytraced reflections really shine. It looks so off without them.
If it's only a matter of better reflections, the 30 fps mode can fuck right off, the combat and traversal in this game screams for 60frame...I think the RT mode is a no-brainer, the game plays fine in 30fps and you get this massive visual boost that makes the game look way better every step of the way.
I just wish there was a PC version so you could do both.
Looks so good with RT, but 60 FPS also looks so nice....
No clue which way I'm going to play it :I
You're probably right, but it's definitely going to make the Sony first part proposition so much more enticing.I doubt we will get the same goodness from 3rd party, or not for a while anyway.
When you consider this is a launch game, imagine how amazing the games will look in a few years. As always, a job well done by Sonys 1st party.
Holy crap at the RT

They really should have made a dynamic resolution 60fps mode with ray tracing.
Ready, my body is.
My guess is they tried, but it doesn't work unless "dynamic resolution" means getting way down to One S levels.
You don't need complex machanics to enjoy 60 fps in a fast paced combat system (or in any combat system really)I got a platinum in this game on PS4, it plays well, and the mechanics are not so complex that they cry out for more responsiveness. It is not Sekiro. On the other hand, I think it would really benefit from the better reflections, materials, puddles, etc., in large part because of its setting. Similar to Watch Dogs 3. opinion of course.
I get your lack of enthusiasm, I share it to a small degree, but I won't pretend that ray/path-tracing can't substantially impove the look of many games.welcome to the next generation of raytraced remasters of flat old games
wait for GTA V
Alex is part of a hardcore xbox centric discord group where a lot PS5 FUD originated from.
Thats all Im gonna write here and Im not going to discuss this any further.
On that note, I just finished episode 2 of Mandalorian Season 2.
Am I the only one annoyed by baby Yoda in that episode?
Off topic, I know, but goddammit Child stop it
A man of taste I see. This makes me really really want a new infamous....
They are shills. Shilling for the Iranian government and world destabilization through video game reviews and analysis.Where are all the DF it's a MS chill posts?
Love those games.A man of taste I see.
The Raytracing implementation (and the whole game) looks amazing.
It's really wonderful that this is possible at 4K on a console. Really impressive.
Ridiculous, isn't it?
The lighting and the scene due to snow here kinda reminds me of the Division before it got downgraded to hell. Games are only going to look better than this.Holy crap at the RT
I am more interested at batman ghotam knight than this spiderman thing..
Just seeing this is giving me a bit of vertigo.
Pretty sure the image quality will downsample to your 1080p set. So the image will be internally rendering at native 4K (in the case of 30fps mode) and the resulting image quality, even on a 1080p display, will look very sharp and pristine. Sharper than native 1080p render.I don't have a 4K TV, just 1080p. So I can either choose 60 fps, or RT, but not both at 1080p? Slight bummer but oh well.
Also, if I never played Spider-Man on PS4 but pre-ordered the deluxe ed on PS5, do I start with the remaster or MM?
Easiest decision I ever made. Screw 60fps. Lol

I think that poster is implying that he'd prefer to play with all the sweet RT stuff at 1080p/60fps than 4k/30fps. Which, tbh, seems like a fair perspective.Pretty sure the image quality will downsample to your 1080p set. Ah, right. I missed the 60fps part.I think that poster is implying that he'd prefer to play with all the sweet RT stuff at 1080p/60fps than 4k/30fps. Which, tbh, seems like a fair perspective.
I feel like we underestimate how much work these alternate performance modes are, specifically to quality test, but this would be an awesome option for a lot of games.
