Mass Effect: Andromeda releases Patch 1.05 Thursday, details more changes for future

I really doubt they'll be able to make system and landing/take off transitions skippable, all ME games have had those and they're used to load in assets. Best thing I can see them do is allow you to skip them as soon as the assets are loaded, just like the Nexus train transitions but that time is going to vary on how fast your system is.

yeah a me2 mod for pc allowed that but i guess its not doable, yet, for mea.

Is there a full list of detailed patch notes? I'm sure what we were told a few days ago didn't have everything.

Not going to happen.

Great patch so far, only issue is the subtitles pop up instantly after the last line of spoken dialogue even if disabled. They always used to pop up eventually as a reminder, but now they do it instantly. A little annoying, but at least they fixed the stereo in your cabin.
Yeah, I don't like this too. If I disabled subtitles, I want them off please at all times and with no exceptions. But they added an option to select responses with Num Lock buttons which is good.

Anyone having trouble during dialogue now? It sometime freezes for me when I want to start to speak to people. No issues pre patch :(

I cant believe we have like a ton of comments about the inventory increase, yet nobody seems to care about whether or not there are performance improvements...

Give it time. People just loaded up the patch. Looking at a number in the inventory screen takes 1 second. Determining relative performance takes longer.

there are just nothing really noticeable right now for me on the pc version. there are still weird sections on the tempest where the framerate tanks, talking to suvi for example. i think it's her hair. there's less stuttering around the ship though.

2 weird issues I'm having so far.

Ryder's voice now sounds like it's coming through a radio/helmet with some distortion applied to all conversations. And performance seems to be worse at Elaaden's port than what I can remember.

The eyes look better though, and the galaxy map skip thing is great.

Can't wait to get home and check out the new updates! Eye-shader does make a ton of difference. I think my Alicia Keys Ryder looks pretty damn good with the limited tools the CC provides, so I'm pretty excited to see her actually looking a little less like a doll and a but more emotive through the eyes lol.

More interested in console version performance, and if pro gets a 1080p option, but good to hear about pc as well. Thanks.

Yeah i assumed that was the case but was still hoping. At least getting 100% in planetary systems will be faster.

Eyes are much better and Addison and Suvi look much better. DoF seems a bit improved on the PS4 Pro and mouths animate a bit better.

So I should just stay way from this, right? I loved the original trilogy and feel like this would kill any interest I have in further games.

I loved the game and I put 96 hours into it. If you want to wait for it to drop in price some, that's fine, but the amount of backlash the game is getting is severely overblown.

Yes. If you haven't started yet, just wait. The price is going to be way lower in a few weeks plus there will be more information on dlc, further patches. A little bit more of a wait and you can enjoy a superior experience.

Wait on it. It wasn't finished, but it sure looks like they're giving it some major support to get it at least competitive with the other games. I'm waiting myself and will see how it improves over the coming months.

Game is pretty great and a Mass Effect title through and through, if anything it's a good game but not this terrible aberration that some people make it out to be. As many have stated... the negatives have been way overblown.

If you wanna wait for a deal or further patches that's okay, but even in it's current state a lot of people are enjoying it once they get into it.

I was hoping there's be an option to auto skip all spaceflight autopilot but if there is I can't find it, you have to skip them all individually. Worse is the prompt isn't there to begin with, it takes a second or two to appear as well, and you still have the zoom out animation afterwards even when skipping.

I've heard some people say that they'd prefer loading screens over the take-off scenes because sometimes you just want to go back to the Tempest to check your email, make a vid call, talk to a squadmate, etc. without actually leaving the planet and in those situations, a simple load screen would feel less immersion-breaking.

Yeah, I can relate to that, I really wish you could go into the tempest while being in a planet.

I can see them patching that in the future although I'm not sure if it's possible at all due to the meeting room and cockpit since you're able too see outside and that would probably tank performance if you're at a docking station.

They will probably add the option to check your email from your inventory or at least a forward station which will be a huge quality of life improvement but they really need to address the management of certain systems like AVP without having the Tempest take off every single time.

Jeeze lol.

Maybe a bit of patience can help?

I still don't think traveling across space should just be instant menu presses, but the redundant stuff should be skippable.

They probably removed as much as they could. Those transitions are undoubtedly hiding some loading that's going on in the background.

Is there a list of the weapons changes they made? Some guns really didn't feel right before the update. Wondering what specifically has been changed. Especially for Single player

Banter still not working for me. They do talk while in the nomad sometimes, but not while on foot. Also still nothing on the Tempest.
That's seriously annoying.

Maybe they could just put some sort of cover/shutters across the windows when its landed?

Yeah, unless it's mission-specific, party banter generally occurs when in the Nomad.

OK, but there definitely should be something on the Tempest. They talked all the time in the beginning, but after a while they just stopped and won't start again. And this is definitely not Mission related. I've done some Main Missions since then.

Game is still a mess for me on ps4. Frame rate is still horrible, glitches and bugs everywhere, and complete 5 seconds freezes in the nomad still present whilst driving around the planets. So not feeling too great about this patch right now!

Cool, I don't mind waiting for the remaining patches. A cheaper game AND a better experience sounds like a win win to me. Too bad it wasn't polished enough for launch day gamers though.

How far are you in the game? Could you have simply exhausted all possible dialogue? Or do you think its too early for that?

It's possible some of that is keyed to main plot progression. So if they exhaust all their banter, the next "round" may not be triggered until you progress to a certain point? Speculation on my part.

Anyway, it's been fine for me. On foot banter is limited, but Nomad banter is plentiful and I've been mixing and matching companions a fair bit and keep hearing new stuff.

On the Tempest I like how they move around the ship and shoot the shit. For me it's been constant; almost at all times there are people in that central 'situation room' talking. A lot of banter goes on in the cockpit and in the back docking/engineering section too. Peebee in particular is all over like horse shit. Hardly ever seems to be in her escape pod.

Well that's what i said in my post, i did main missions since after the banter stopped, and it hasn't come back. I'm also like 70 hours in the game, and the last time i heard banter on the Tempest was like 40 hours ago.

I also noticed that banter on the Tempest seems to have slowed down around the time I've hit Elaaden or Kadara compared to the beginning. I used to only get new dialogue after doing their Loyalty missions, but now I got a bunch of new stuff too after doing the
Archon Ship
one. That one mission has been on standby for a while though, so it might be that new banter only shows up when doing Priority or Loyalty missions?

Whoa.
200 inventory space now, good.
Double whoa.

I think that quest that you mentioned is a big trigger since I have been postponing it for a while since I'm doing Kadara/Elaaden and most Loyalty/Allies stuff and banter in the Tempest has been almost non existent.

The
Archon Ship
is the main mission i have active at the moment, but i want to do other stuff first. Hopefully it will come back after that.
