I think a lot of you are underestimating Doom. It has the potential to sell as big as what MKX did. It's a well known 90s IP everyone including your grandmother knows.
Mortal Kombat never faded in the way Doom kinda has. We had three new Mortal Kombat games on the last gen alone. I'm not say it won't do well but the comparison is flawed.I think a lot of you are underestimating Doom. It has the potential to sell as big as what MKX did. i feel like doom could go either way. but ultimately i'd expect it to be a slow burner like wolfenstein. something that does end up great, and spreads via positive work of mouth. i don't expect it's initial sales to be good. the MP has already put a lot of people off. it's the single player that will either make or break it.

Gearbox will probably be fine no matter what, but I could still see Battleborn getting a dedicated following.On-topic, I don't think it's a question of whether Battleborn fails, but rather how badly it fails. Will Gearbox survive to develop Borderlands 3? They've been working on that game for a while, the budget's likely significant. Homefront will also likely do poorly.
Doom will sell decent, Evil Within-type numbers - not a huge hit, but acceptable returns and eventual profitability via Steam sales and such.
As for me personally, I'm in for Uncharted 4, Mirror's Edge, and Valkyria Chronicles.
Except do people still care about DOOM? Mortal Kombat has had previous installments which sold pretty good.
Doom hasnt been around since the 90's.
I'm going to purchase Uncharted 4, and then rent Doom, Overwatch and Battleborn with my mail subscription.
Doom 3 came out in 2004.

Guys, should I get DOOM on PC or X1??
I prefer using the Elite with FPS games, and while I'm sure DOOM will have controller support, I'll certainly be at a disadvantage versus KBM players. However, my PC will sure make this game look pretty...
Bethesda publishing is not on the level of Ubi, EA, Sony, etc. and DOOM has been dead for like a decade or more so this is a reboot from a studio who's latest projects got lukewarm response to say the least.Doom is a Bethesda published game. A historical franchise on top of that. I don't think they have to fear about their release date as they are also on multiple platforms. No Uncharted on PC after all where Doom has always been king. Plus that multiplayer seems to be a draw that doesn't have any recent competition.
Bethesda is a publisher, and for some reason you are comparing them to a studio. Maybe you got confused and are thinking of Bethesda Game Studios. Bethesda the publisher is not on Sony's size and budget level as a publisher. The size of id Software who is making DOOM and Naughty Dog the studio, are irrelevant.Lol? Bethseda is a few times bigger than naughty dog.

Turtles, Homefront and Battleborn
Charted:
Uncharted 4
Mirror's Edge
Overwatch
Uncharted:
the rest of that stuff
I actualy have a good feeling about Turtles. It's coming out close to the film, and that cartoon is very popular with kids. It might be overlooked by the NeoGAF audience, but there's definitely a market for that game.
